Hi guys -Stop those tears, Piglet is still here I have finally managed to brave the heat and come to an internet cafe. The internet is unbelieveably slow so this page has taken me 5 minutes to load

Anywho, so here I am sitting in India! The flight was ok, except for the stopover. I had to sit there like a lemon for 5 hours, but luckily I met this lovely woman on the aeroplane who talked to me and helped me out (first time travelling alone). It was still awful though, because I was SO tired. I didn't get a wink of sleep on the plane.

You will NOT believe how hot it is here, must be well over 100F. My hair is plastered onto my head and my face is so tanned/burnt/mosquito bitten I arrived here on Sunday afternoon and have since been meeting up with family and neighbours. Did a tad of shopping, but because of my fussiness (as my mum puts it) I have hardly bought anything. I am about to go again now, but it is so hot that I'd rather just melt next to a fan.

Nobody even understands me because apperently my panjabi accent is a little crappy, so all I get in my face is confused looks and nervous smiles. Heck, my grandad doesn't even know what I'm talking about half the time.

I hope everyone is well, I can't really read any other threads because it's so damn slow and this is costing me money!!!

If I get the chance to, I will come on again.

Well hello stranger! I'm glad you're enjoying India, despite the heat, mosquio bites etc. You'll have loads to catch up on when you get back! Enjoy the rest of your time over there!

Hi Piglet! Glad to hear everything went fine, and I wish you lots of fun over there! Oh, and if your Panjabi accent is wrong, maybe "Gobi" doesn't mean cauliflower at all! Maybe it means something along the lines of "great macho bigbutted pig" or something. Okay, I shut up.

Hey, I came back last night. Waaaa, I'm not liking it here, I want to go back It's weird to be back at the house, each room looks really strange and so does this laptop!

Let me just give you a tip, don't travel to India alone! On the way back, there was a guy who decided to stand with me all the time and stare. Although he was very gorgeous I was a bit stressed when he was standing like a cm away from my back. Then, at the stop over country, one of the workers asked my name WHILE looking at my passport :P Then he asked if I was single which was ridiculous because what does it matter, it's not like I'm staying in that country. While in India, I got stares 24/7 because I was not wearing indian dress, so they knew I was from abroad. Meh, at first it was like wow! But then, it just got really irratating and embarassing. Oh, and at the airport this guy that worked there helped me with my luggage and then followed me because he wanted a tip. I said I didn't have any money, but he refused to leave. Argh!

Apart from all that, the actual holiday was GREAT!!!!! I loved it and in the end managed to buy 12 indian suits, 3 pairs of shoes, jewelery, curtains and loads more he he. I got to see all my family, including my very lovely grandparents.

I did take some piccies, but the camera is wedged somewhere in the suitcase which I havn't bothered to touch. I'll show you them later

My family took great care of the pigs so they're fine - I missed them so much!

In what part of India does your family live? It looks amazing! Just looking at the pictures makes me feel warm. (Belgium seems to have skipped summer this year).

It's lovely, isn't it? I go to Panjab, which is in the north west of India. I live in a town that is 8 hours away from the capital, Delhi.
