Ok, here's what happened. I was browsing this online clothes shop, Alloy, and put alot of stuff in my wish list. I didn't know how much it would cost so I put all the stuff in the shopping cart. I entered all my info (shipping adress, billing adress, credit card info, etc.) to get the total including shipping and tax and stuff. The total was like some $800. So I though woah that's way too much (obviously!) and hit edit cart and deleted everything from the cart except two pairs of pants that I could actually afford. No big deal, right? Then later tonight I went back on the site to see what I was saving up to buy next and every single item in my shopping cart said it was purchased!! I don't know what to do!! I'm really hoping it just say purchased because it was put in the cart. I never got any sort of confirmation email, except for the stuff I meant to buy. I checked every single e-mail account I've ever had and there isn't anything from Alloy! I'm freaking out!! It's too late to do anything about it, it's 1am. No matter what, tommorow I'm calling Alloy and asking about it. I don't know if I should tell my mom first or not. I really don't want to have to stress her out, because then her stumach(sp?) gets really bad. I'm not sure if I should tell my gramma either(it's her credit card.) Right now I'm hoping for the best and preparing for the worst. If I find out I really did mess up, I'm going to tell my gramma, and return everything when it gets here. I'm hoping that if I call first thing when they open I can get them not to send out the order, if it really went through. I'm really, really scared. Please help to calm me down!!

Re: I think I messed up Calm down hun. It was an honest mistake and I'm sure you are not the first to make it. Like you said, go ahead and call Alloy in the morning and tell them what happened. They might be able to cancel the order. You grandma can always deny the charges if it did happen to go through. Don't worry, though... it's an easy fix.

Re: I think I messed up Do you think I should hold out on telling my mom until I'm positive I messed up? I don't want to tell her and have her freaking out all day then find out nothing was wrong. I'm seeing my Gramma tommorow, I don't want to tell her then because my uncle is visiting and it would ruin the whole night.I'm thinking I should just keep it to me and the guinea pigs. Or is that stupid? Argh! I hate messing up!

Re: I think I messed up Call Alloy in the morning, and cancel the order. Explain what happened. They will be able to help you. Then, if they say that you did mess up, tell your mom. I would tell my mom anyway. She may understand and be able to help you. She may get upset, but she will live, and so will you. :0)

Re: I think I messed up Even if I tell my mom, she would have to go to work before Alloy opens, so she wouldn't be able to help. Also, my mom isn't exactly a morning person.

Re: I think I messed up I would just give a call to Alloy first & see what they say. It could be that other people have had this problem too. If it were me, I'd be pretty angry about being charged for something I never actually purchased. If you removed the items from your shopping cart & never confirmed that you were purchasing them, it's their problem. They have to fix the error. You've got the confirmation email to prove that you never bought all those items.

Re: I think I messed up I own a home business. I have had people place orders then email me a day or even two later and tell me they want to cancel. I have always cancelled with no problem. You should have a little time with this. If they say it was already shipped tell them the purchase was an error and you don't want it. Ask them if they could call their carrier and get it rerouted back to them. UPS, FEDEX, Etc (not postal service though) can turn shipments around usually and send them back. If they won't do that then tell them that you are going to refuse the package. By refusing it it gets shipped back to the sended automatically. Tell them you expect a refund as soon as they receive the merchandise back. They may charge you shipping but at least it won't be $800.

Re: I think I messed up Yeah, but think if the clothes had been ordered and came and how much trouble you might have gotten into when you told your mom and gramma. I am glad for you that you aren't in trouble. Maybe Alloy needs to fix their shopping cart so it doesn't mess up other people like that and cause people unneccesary stress and worry wondering if they bought the clothes.
