What are you'r veiws on it. Can you please tell me when you think it is acceptable (sp?), or is all stealing unacceptable. I'ts a school summer project that I want to get ahead on. I thought this would be a good place to post as everyone is mixed age and cultures.

| Re: Stealing For anyone average that is stealing something unnesseary (CDs, drugs, cars) I think is absolutely horrible. But I sympathize with the people that steal food for their family and can't afford it any other way. But it still doesn't make it right. Last edited by Slap Maxwell : 07-23-05 at 03:28 pm. | Re: Stealing I really don't think that anyone on this forum would find stealing acceptable. I hope not anyway. I can understand why a poor person would steal though. |

Re: Stealing Totally with Ly on this one. Even the poor and homeless have LEGAL options to stealing. Its wrong. period. end of discussion.

Re: Stealing I think Bromers is doing a morality essay over the summer. I know we don't have summer homewrok up here in Canada and I'm pretty sure the US doesn't either, but I think in Britian they do. I know they have summer homework in Japan. Though I do not condone stealing in any form, I have empathy for poor people who steal. The legal system is quite tricky to navagate. I can see why they think swiping a loaf of bread would be easier.

Re: Stealing I'm 34 and agree with Ly that stealing is wrong no matter how you look at it. I don't care what the circumstances are, you do not steal. Its illegal.

Re: Stealing I think it would be ok to steal from sickeningly rich people who are total jerks and wouldn't give up their money to charity for any other reason then to avoid forking it over to the government. Want names? Bill Gates, The Hiltons, Britney Spears, every worthless boyband going, ... the list goes on. Those people didn't earn it, I'm sorry but no individual, in my opinion, needs or deserves 100 million dollars. As long as whoever stole it gave it to charity, I'd see no harm. Other then that, however, stealing is wrong. Especially if it's something you don't need to live, like an MP3 player or a flashy car.
