Ugly cage...?

I am always browsing through the pictures of cages on here and I think "Wow that looks very nice, I am going to make mine look like that!" so I make the cage and then I look at mine. It doesn't look as good as the picture...Why? Every cage i build is ugly.... I think my piggys think so too.... So I guess my question is how do you keep your piggys cage clean and neat looking... I understand that some of the photos were taken right after you cleaned them. Even after I clean mine the piggys have a party or something and destroy everything I come in the room and poof the hay rack is on the ground the fleece is wrinkled and messy the bedding/litter in their box is dumped food bowl is turned over... Enough I my ranting.... I am getting carried away...

Thats what my guinea pigs do, well its not that bad but the hay racks on the floor, they have pooed everywhere, there are shavings in their dish but its waited so its not flipped over and they have rearenged their igloo and paper bag.

I think my guinea pigs have party's while I'm gone..... I just know they invite the neighborhood piggys over....Hahaha

My pigs do that too. Nothing in my cage has a spot anymore. They just drag it everywhere which is fine by me. They're animals, they don't care if it's messy :P So long as the poop is swept and theres food around, they're happy. It does get a bit annoying, but you'll never be pleased with your cage if you expect it perfect.

I don't really expect it to be perfect.. I know after a day or too it will be messy and that's fine.. but being messy right after I clean is the worst...but I love them!!

My little boy's newest nickname is "Pudgy Pooper" He's over 900g and he's a little pooping machine!

Yes mine poop all the time with three adults I am always spot cleaning and they like to right under the loft so it's hard to clean...

I think a lot of people take their pictures right after cleaning their cages. So you're definitely not alone! Mine gets a bit messy too.

Wow, i was wondering about the same! I am new with piggies and i know i have to build a proper cage for them (i have 2 males) but i am wondering about bedding... i am using now the kitchen rugs (similar texture to fleece) and are easy to clean, but i have to clean it twice a day, and doesnt last anhour and all is covered in poo...maybe having a larger place they will choose a place to "go"? I am also using under the rugs shreded paper from my office, but i am wondering if we "produce" enough at paperwaste for my pigs!

My piggys get attention 24/7 but I think they mess up the cage again so I will give them even more attention. When I am in a rush and have to clean really fast I always think "just clean don't look at their faces you will see too much cuteness"

hmmmm but i have to work. I got up at 5 30 am to have more time to clean up, and last night i did it as well!!!

I put a box in the corner of the cage where they "went" the most and put bedding/litter in it and when they use that it's much easyer and faster to spot clean.
