Does this even exist?!
So, I was perusing craigslist for pigs this morning, and I came across this:
Himalania Guinea Pig with extras!
What is a Himalania Guinea Pig? And WHY does it cost so much?
I've never heard of this before, so I googled it, and came up COMPLETELY blank.
Can anyone fill me in here, is there some kind of joke? Is it code for something? Or should I let this lady know she got ripped off?
Also this is the second craigslist ad I've seen where the parent OBVIOUSLY did NO research about a pet before investing in one for their small child who is "too rough" with it. :|

Re: Does this even exist?!
Sounds like they mean himalayan guinea pig and the "extras" are the supplies. Himalayans are the white pigs with dark ears and smudge on the nose. They look a bit like a pig version of a siamese cat.

They do exist, though I rarely see them. All are red eyed, white fur on their bodies, and distinctive darker fur on their nose, ears & feet. This color may differ, but shouldn't be red. I believe they are born completely white. If kept in a cooler environment, the colored areas will be darker & sometimes larger supposedly.

Of course it would make sense that they spelled it wrong. haha I didn't account for that. Those are pretty interesting, I still don't see why anyone would pay so much for ONE particular pig. He looks just as cute as the rest to me :P

Re: Does this even exist?!
It sounds like he paid for a petstore cage (prolly around $60) plus the pig (around $30) plus whatever other supplies he has. It adds up but still doesn't make sense to charge so much for something he sounds desparate to "get rid" of.

Well obviously I'm dyslexic too, because I read it as the person paid 190 for JUST the piggy. I was SUPER confused haha, everyone disregard what happened here hahaa
