Question Jamies school diners

Has anyone seen that show?
No wonder half the people in this world are fat slops.
If anyone has seen it let me know and voice your opion about the show.

Re: Jamies school diners

Yeah I've seen the show. I'm glad someone is finally doing something about the rubbish school dinners! I've just been reading the site about it and it looks like all that hard work Jamie did has paid off: http://www.feedmebetter.com/news/arc...ex.php#a000033

Re: Jamies school diners

I loved that show! Our canteen has totally changed since the airing of that show. No chocolates or crisps are being sold. Just hot dinners (proper ones, not like the shitty chicken burgeres you get), fruits, salads and soup. Water is the only thing being sold too, all fizzy drinks have gone. He did acheive his goal - I know loads of schools that have changed their eating habits

There are also many skinny slobs in the world. Slobbiness and weight have nothing to do with one another.

Re: Jamies school diners

No one's forcing them to eat it.....
I am *abit* (grinz) overweight but I can't blame anyone but myself!
If I eat junk food's or just don't goto the gym it's my fault, not the company's who make fatty foods... I think people need to take responsibility and stop passing the buck. And some people are happy being larger too so why judge.
Imo.

Re: Jamies school diners

I hope they do that at my school. All they have (Really, this is all) that is healthy is one big salad (really not that big, I can down it easily), very very small salads (sides) and then some carrots- every now and then. Little bits of fruits, though hardley anyone even uses them. All we really have are hamburgers, chicken burgers, tacos, greasy greasy pizza, fatty fries, meats, grease shtuff, ect... We don't really have anything that is healthy at all.

Re: Jamies school diners

Welcome to what is called a cafeteria. You can always bring your own lunch. It's cheaper that way too. At my high school only the rich kids could afford to eat a cafeteria lunch every day.

Re: Jamies school diners

Yeah, but I don't always have the time to make a packed lunch. My mum works shifts so she's not home in the morning. I get up at 6.30, and that's early enough! I don't even like sandwiches

You are so lucky, I have to get up at 6:00-6:15 because my bus comes at 6:40!

Re: Jamies school diners

I'm lucky! No no no. Some of my mates live near the school and they can get up at 8 lucky sods.

Why does your bus come so early?

Re: Jamies school diners

Our school starts at 7:30, so we have to wake up pretty early for the bus to come. Plus, we're the first on in the morning.

Re: Jamies school diners

You don't just have to take sandwich's. How about making a container of cold chicken and salad the night before? Or salad and tuna or omit the meat for vego's, there's so many things other than boring peanut butter sanga's to have for school! And it will all be alot better for you than all that fried crap they serve dripping in oil's or cheese's, yuk!

Re: Jamies school diners

I just told you that are school has no unhealthy stuff! I'm happy eating cafeteria food =) There's no processed food, or food that's come out of the freezer. We have outside catera's now, so it's freshly prepared each day. For instance yesterday there was chicken, mash potatoes and brocolli. For the veggies there was rice and vegetable stir fry.
