 Need Help With Photos Hi all, I'm really new at the computer stuff, and I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to change the pixels on a picture? I have a digital camera that puts out 1216 by 912 image size, is there a way to shrink it so I can post pictures? I really am not very acquainted with doing things like that, but I do have photo imaging software, so if anyone can help that would be really great! |

| Re: Need Help With Photos I always like to help people be self sufficient and since you mention that you have some software maybe this will help... You don't mention which software you have but most have similar features. There should be a menu option similar to "Image - Resize" It will show the new dimensions of the photo. If the dimensions are not in pixels, change it to pixels. Usually there is an option to keep the same dimensions (also called aspect ratio). When this is on, you only have to change one dimension and the other will automatically adjust to keep the same proportions. For on screen viewing, I usually like something about 300 pixels wide. Change the width to that, the hight will automatically adjust. Then to File - Save As.. to save your modified picture with the new name. I always like to keep my original photo untouched so I have a print quality image available. This is because 300 pixels wide looks OK on screen but will not print correctly. Hope that helps. |
