I love nothing more then a good religion debate!

Personally I don't see a need to close this thread down. It's in the right forum (the kitchen).

Usually I'm the first person to jump on forced Christian morality being slammed down the throat but so far there is nothing here that makes me feel the need to get involved. I LOVE religious diversity!

The only time I came close to joining in the debate/argument was when Tina said, "There are actually alot of really bad religions that I would hesitate to call religions at all." I’m certain that I belong to one of those religions that Tina thinks are "bad" although I’m sure she actually knows nothing about it.

In my opinion I’d like to see more. After all if people don’t like it they don’t have to look.

No I really dont know much abou them, and I dont care to learn more about those "religions." However I do agree that religion should be debated more on this forum.

I think piglet is the one who owes me an apology if anyone.

We're not responsible for whether you choose to house your guinea pigs in an adequately large environment. If you choose to deprive them because you're angry at us, what does that say about you?

You may want to rethink referring to other people's religions as "religions" (in parentheses...like it doesn't deserve the title at all). It may not be a religion to you but it's a serious relationship with the divine to me and to others who don't practice your religion of Christianity.

If you don't care to learn about them then you have no right to judge them do you? If I told you my religion you would say I was going to hell...but you would be wrong.

Actually we don't agree. I don't think religion should be debated on this forum. It doesn't really belong here...but I don't mind it popping up from time to time. Debating religion and politics is human nature and always gets heated.

By the way. I made a mistake in my last post. I said that this thread was in the Kitchen forum but It's actually in the General Discussion. I'm indifferent about it being moved.

Personally, Im not against anyone for the bible says "love one another as if they are your neighbor, love them as you love yourself " no idea what verse that is, but I actually am quite interested in the "bad" religions, though I dont entirely think they are bad religons,
just different.

Whatever happened to "Thou shalt not kill"? Or is that only applicable to humans now? Strange, I never got that. I can back myself up with as much evidence as you like.

As for religion, it's fine that you're so involved in it. I think that there are many religions, and I accept that. Maybe it's from growing up in a Lutheran, Methodist, Muslim, Atheist, Buddhist, and Jewish environment, but I think that everyone is entitled to their own opinions. Thanks!

Like CanGirl said, I have my beliefs, but I don't like people just out of the blue PMing me with quotes. It makes me feel like you are one of those people on the street that walk up to you and start listing off quotes and verses and handing out pamphlets and telling you have you are going straight to hell if you don't follow THIER EXACT way of life. I do belive we call it "Bible Thumping".

I am going to quote Teresa (CavySpirit) from another thread. Everyone really needs to pay attention here.

If you want to start a general discussion of religion, then take it to general chat. You can start to tear each other apart on your personal belief systems over there. And as soon as it gets really ugly, I'll shut the thread down.

In the meantime, in the rest of the forums, stick to facts, yes, those that are scientifically debatable.

So this basically means if this thread gets ugly it will be shut down by one of the moderators. And don't bring religious debates into the rest of the forum.

You're right tho shalt not kill is a commandment, I will post the explination of it soon if I am not blocked from this forum, because I do not have it with me at the moment. But basically here they are clearly talking abou humanes.

and voodoo, yes those are still religions but in most cases one person or group of people made them up, in many cases there is no evidence supporting the religion just word of mouth. But understand they still fit the dictonary definition of religion. However I would have to disagree, I do think these religions are "bad" in some cases, what I really mean to say is in most cases if a religion isnt in some form or another Christian there usually is very little truth to it. I do not mean this to offend anyone here, but if you are looking for the one true religion and the one true God find a Christian church.

I'm not real interested in looking into other religions at the moment, God says in the bible that we should be careful about these religions and not become involved in them. I do believe that I have the faith I need to reasearch and not become involved. However sense there is little truth to these religions I think my time is better spent on MY religion and school work for now.
