I tried looking online but haven't really found anything. I need to get from New York to Boston and back with a dog (75 pounds). Is there any train or bus service (airplane or car are not at all an option - I haven't driven in years, so I wouldn't be comfortable making that long of a trip my first day back behind the wheel, and I am not comfortable with flying) that lets you bring pets with you? I really need some ideas! |

The only thing you could do is call Amtrak or grayhound a see if they will permit it but i doubt it. Do you have a pet transport service in your area ? |

I really have no idea - I am in New York City, if anyone has area-specific suggestions. |

Is there a specific reason you need to take the dog with you? It may be more financially viable to get a pet sitter or send him/her to doggy day care for the duration of your trip? At least that's been my experience in the past with larger animals. |
