My dream pets

I already had 3 chinchillas and I love them to death!! And it's funny because the Siberian Husky that I do have is black grey and white with blue eyes.

Did those Chinchillas cross the rainbow bridge? If so, their probably having fun bouncing all over the place in Chinchilla heaven! Yes, my friend's brother has a Chinchilla named Silver. And I even got a book at the library that said short-tailed Chinchillas are endangered for their fur! So here's my new updated list of dream pets(be prepared for this long list because I do wish to live on a farm/ranch):
2 Chocolate Labs. Names: Hot Cocoa and Hot Chocolate(yummy drinks!)
1 Black Lab. Name: Mystic
2 West Highland White Terriers. Names: Sugar and Spice
1 Bernese Mountain dog. Name: Clover
A herd of Guinea Pigs(5 or more). Names: ?????
2 Chinchillas. Names: ?????
A 10 gallon tank of freshwater fish(Different kinds)
A couple Pinto Horses
A couple goats(Yes, goats are adorable)
2 Hamsters
4 Gerbils
2 Russian Blue Cats
A ferret!

Handful to take care of right? Yes it is a handful but I would love them all to death!

well I already have my herd of pigs, 19! and 3 chinchillas, 8 cats... so all I need now to complete my family:

blue merle australian shepherd - they are sooo pretty!
border collie - I like these as much as aussies!
corgi - pembroke or welsh, I like both
chinchilla(s) - I'd love to have more... maybe a white violet, or another white ebony!

I think after my herd of pigs crosses the rainbow bridge (all are still relatively young, my oldest pair being 3 years old, and I pray noone leaves me anytime soon! I love them dearly), I will only allow myself to have maybe 4 piggies max..... or so.

We have (or have had, over the past 5 years): Pretty much every possible breed of dog (we foster for a rescue), cats, cavies (of course) rats, ferrets, snakes, lizards, tortoises, birds (2 kinds of cockatoo (fosters) and a timneh grey), sugar gliders, short tailed opossums, chinchillas, degus, etc etc etc.

My dream dog is a Johnson-type American Bulldog. That is the next one we will get, but since (a) we will wait until the right dog shows up in rescue and (b) none of our current 3 senior dogs would appreciate the energy a young bully breed would bring to the house, it will be a few years before we do.

I've always wanted an Oriental Shorthair cat, or possibly a sphynx, but the OSH is preferable.

A "leachie" gecko is defintely a "dream pet" (not something that comes up in rescue, pretty much ever, but I can dream, right?).

I really want a basilisk (preferably male- common in rescues), but we have no room for a big enough enclosure for one, so it'll have to wait, as well.

I couldn't let this thread slip by seeing as I studied for a degree in zoology ....so here goes:

Guinea-pigs - 2 or 3 (depending on what the rescue has when I go to have a look --> hopefully after christmas
Hamsters
Giant Snails (absolutely amazing animals - can hear them crunching lettuce from the other side of the room)
Giant Millipede
Horse (Rode horses when I was younger and was completely obsessed with them....still am obsessed!)
Dog
Cats

I've always had animals although I currently don't have any due to living circumstances but i'm moving pretty soon

Between myself and my boyfriend the animals we intend to have at some point (though hopefully not all at once) are:

Dogs: Rottweiler, German Shepherd, Newfoundand, Mastiff, Miremma, and maybe a Westie
Guinea pigs (for me)
Saltwater reef (for him -- specifically at least one anemone and clownfish)
Hedgehog

....wow. This list sounds so much longer when we're talking about all the animals we want, but compared to you guys it's nothing!

1 Red and white border collie,. i ADOR the breed so smart and energetic.

1 Palamino gelding for riding on occassions but more of a pet.

2 Rabbits, a Blue buterfly minnie lop and a black butterfly minnie lop both girls

1 Lilac coronet cavy
1 Dark eyed white sheltie cavy
1 skinny cavy


and that is about it..
I have Rats-love them but wont get anymore.

When I'm out of college and financially stable, I hope to have:

-A show-bred, registered Welsh Springer Spaniel to compete in agility and obedience
-One good, show quality horse with outstanding temperament and movement. More if I'm able to have the horses on my own land.

And from rescues:
-One dog
-Two or three cats
-A pair of guinea pigs

I've had most of my dream pets. I wish I could still have cats, I miss them terribly.

My daughter and I are avid fish keepers though and her dream pet: a small shark or another aggressive salt water fish.

Salt water tanks though being ridiculiously expensive and extremely high maintanence I've told her she can only have one if I win the lotto.

I would have many dogs! so many! like a st bernard and a like 5 more big ones. then like 5 yorkies to have there little pack i want a pig too! bunnies, ferrets, of corse cats! i used to list 20 or so dogs and name them, it was my future family!

right now i have:
-a yorkie with a hideous haircut at the moment -tootsie
-two golden retrievers- Jodi and Sophie
-6 cats- Ally (adopted) Sami (found at 2 weeks old) Goldie, Bullzeye, Feobe (strays that we took in but live outside due to behavioral issues), and Mickey (a ragdoll, that we got when my grandma passed away)
-and of corse, my dwarf rabbit- Beans
