Not Ranked. Helpful AND tactful post? : 0
My mother is having an issue with her dog who has started biting in her sleep. She does not move or make noises like dogs do when they dream she literally just bites. Its not like she is woken up and she bites because she is scared, she is still asleep! She sleeps in bed with my mom and clamped down on her neck and left marks . Gracie is a very sweet dog and is not aggressive at all when awake. I have suggested she sleep in a crate until we can figure something out and call the vet on Monday. Has anyone else ever heard of this? |

You are right. Gracie needs to sleep in a crate or at very least not in bed with any one. A vet visit is definately in order. I have never heard of a dog biting in its sleep. Maybe she was having a dream. Like when a dogs feet are moving in a running motion while it sleeps. Maybe in Gracies dream she caught what she was after. Someone sent me a video clip of a dog dreaming of running and he actually got up an ran (still asleep) into a wall. |
