Guinea Pig in PR what they have to deal with

These are the conditions that most of the piggies I rescue are in
2 guimos abyssinian Puerto Rico

I know you dont like the same posts about being mad but I had to vet it is frustrating so far all the piggies in the rescue (they are five now) have bumblefoot because of this.

Re: Guinea Pig in PR what they have to deal with

I'm sorry. I constantly see ads from people that have cavies in those type of cages and it drives me wild. How can they not see that it's bad for them?

Seriously, no one likes walking on grids and only grids with bare feet for a while. Imagine having no choice...

Ick, it's just so uncomfortable!

As hard as it is to stomach, you can find this kind of thing just about anywhere. My local Craigslist periodically has animals available in similar conditions unfortunately.

People are careless and cruel everywhere. Fortunately there's more awareness in some countries than in others. It would definitely be nice if people everywhere cared more.

Re: Guinea Pig in PR what they have to deal with

Yes thats true and you know what I have heard a lot of people in this site saying that they live in the UK and guinea pigs are "happy" living outside and I find it funny because people over here say the same thing. Their excuse is that guinea pigs are farm animals and that the enjoy being outside because inside the house it is too hot. People will always try to justify their actions but we know the reason ,they dont care enough or they dont want to spend their time cleaning cages.
