Question Is this a real webpage?

PETA: Ingrid Newkirk's Unique Will

I was kind of surprised by the content of this webpage, so I was wondering if anyone knows for sure if it is genuine or not.

I do have to admit, upon first reading that, I was disgusted with nasty images in my head.

But then I realized that that is what her point is, to show how disgusting animal's are treated. Not just in the USA, but the whole world.

I wonder if her family minds being left out of her will. Or is that Daniel guy a part of her family?

Re: Is this a real webpage?

It's meant to paint a picture.

She's saying that there is no distinction, or shouldn't be, between the value of a human's life and that of an animal's life. She's given a very vivid and all too accurate picture of the suffering animals endure day in and day out by describing in torturous detail what would happen to her own body if the same rituals and procedures were carried out upon it.

Perhaps this is the only way in which she thought she could draw attention by the people that hold steadfast to the belief that an animal doesn't suffer because it isn't human, or that the pain they endure is of less significance for the same reason.

In any case, it's a real website, yes. Whether or not a legal will rather than a means for drawing attention to her cause is questionable, but makes it no less significant.

She is with the organization PETA, which is a real website. All of my correspondence that comes from PETA is threw her. She maybe the one who started PETA. I would have to look that up.

Not Ranked. Helpful AND tactful post?
Re: Is this a real webpage?

I believe she is in fact the starter of PETA. I watched a documentary on her one day a while ago and she had said a lot about what she said in the will about what she wants done with her body. She said in the documentary that the lizard tattoo she has on her arm will be turned into a wallet or something along those lines. I agree with Paula, I think it's a real website, but whether or not the things she wants done is legal or not is another matter. Last I heard, I don't think canabalism is legal so I think her barbeque is out of the question.
