Facts for G-Force Movie

I started thinking about some things all the kids who will want some furry friends like they see in the G-Force movie. Yeah, they're great and I wouldn't trade them for a million bucks, but I'm an adult with a job and I can handle their care. Kids and their parents should know the reality (besides the 'fun' part)! I've had 2 or 3 piggies since the end of 2004...two store bought cages at first, then a big C&C Cage...there's fleece in their cages, but they each have an extra piece of fleece in their house to make it more comfy. I clean and disinfect the cage(s) 1x/week, pick up their poos and change their little fleece at least 2x/day...depending on how 'active' they are. So I did some figuring...I've done the major cleaning 386x...and the little cleaning and picking up 3422x! Plus, I've went through one operation and two life threatening illnesses that required 4x/day hand feeding, 5x/day Meds, and going to the Vet every 3 days! Plus, they get 3 check-ups a year,one time a year getting a full blood work-up. My total Vet expenses are almost $4500.00. I've also spent almost $400.00 on cages, my C&C Cage,fleece,houses and Pigloos, toys and treats (most of which they didn't want or need-bought them before I found this site!) Not counting on how much I spend a month on hay and food!

I'm not complaining one bit...like I said, I love'em to death. I just wish Disney would put some facts like this at the end of their movie! (Fat chance,I know!)
