Has anyone seen this old time Disney movie short? It's kind of old (1954) and my older cousin-in-law introduced it to me. I was showing him and my cousin my piggy when he started to ramble on about guinea pigs at a train station who multiplied every second... Turns out he wasn't crazy! He picked up a computer and found the short "Pigs is Pigs" Here is the link on YouTube, if you haven't seen it. YouTube - Walt Disney - Pigs Is Pigs - 1954 Isn't this cute and funny? But, of course, there is one thing that it says that is wrong about guinea pigs. "A cabbage a day keeps the doctor away" More like a bell pepper a day keeps the doctor away... Anyway, tell me what you think! |

I remember that from when I was a kid. Although, I'm getting really tired of hearing anything about G-Force. At least this was nostalgic. |

This isn't a G-Force thread, though. It's a Pigs is Pigs thread. |

Its cute - but it is probably one of the reasons people thought for so many years that small enclosures were OK. I don't know, I'm on the fence about this. Plus I think they portrey GPs as more like mice that reproduce quickly and easily instead of the reality of great risk to both sow and pups. |

I think this would have been better suited in one of the numerous OTHER G-Force threads. Quote:
As for what it "portrays" - I think it's a cutesey little old time video. No more, no less. |

It was a cute short. I thought it was cute - though a little bizarre that when the girlie pig had the first babies, she just was sitting next to the boy pig and the babies seemed to walk right out of her! LOL The sounds they had the guineas make was nice though - realistic. |

The cartoon being made in 1954, they didn't know any better, of course there are obvious mistakes like the tiny cage, and the feeding of cabbage, but guys, just enjoy this cartoon please. At least they didn't have the guinea pigs eat cheese. |

You would of thought he might try and separate the genders after 100 guinea pigs |
