Talking The Cavy And the Kid- A lovely story.

Today I was sitting on the park bench with my one year old solid black satin Shadow sitting on me. My dad and bro were play catch on the feild and I watched two hyper little dudes running on the play ground. They we're fun to watch untill the younger one jumped off a high platform and landed on his side. His dad rushed over and picked him up. He could get his son to stop crying. Then his dad asked me a question.
"Is that a guinea pig?" he said.
"Yep" I replyed. His son turned ad stared at Shadow. I stood up and walked over. The little boy reached an arm out to pet the cavy. Shadow let him pet her. Shadow turn as if to bite him.
"Is he gonna bite?" He said quickly pulling back his arm. I shook my head. The boy pet Shadow and she licked his finger. Then the boy just stop and he started to smile and then giggled.

Its amazing how pets make everything all right.

I couldn't agree more! Since really getting into rescuing piggies the painful and severe stomach issues I had been having for 4 months almost completely disappeared! I got to tell my doctor's secratary when she called with a GI referral that I was "Doing just fine now, and will let you know if anything chages!"

I totally agree.
I was severly bullied when I was younger, and my pets are really what pulled me through it. I could'nt tell anyone because I was so ashamed and scared.
Without my pets I really would'nt have got through it.

Animals are amazing

Yeah, animals have a clever way of telling us, "Lighten up...it's just a little boo-boo"!

Awww what a lovely story! It's amazing how much just having an animal around can help heal most wounds - emotional and physical. I think that's why they bring cats and dogs to retirement homes. They say the act of simply petting a dog or cat can relax people and improve their overall well-being.

Thanks for the story. It definitely made me smile!

Re: The Cavy And the Kid- A lovely story.

Animals so enrich our lives. Those that are service animals, those that go into hospitals and nursing homes. It is proven they help calm and open up those who refuse to open up. They are use with abused chilldren, children with autisim.
Yes animals are the most amazing wonderful compassionate beings. Even a little GP, that made one little boys day better.
