So hard to find normal, loving, caring homes!

I hope this is ok that I post here, I just need to vent to other guinea pig lovers! Over the last year or so, I have aquired a few extra guinea pigs, mostly people that I know, know someone else, who had a guinea pig, and the kids didnt want it anymore, blah blah blah. Well now I need to thin my herd down a bit....even though I love them all....just cannot keep them all forever. I have been trying so hard to find nice, normal, loving homes, but it seems this is impossible! The only places I have tried posting are craigslist and petfinder, and the responses I get back from interested people are just rediculous! (I have tried posting here of course, but no luck finding anyone in Colorado looking for a guinea pig.)

If there are others here that can share their wisdom about how to find the perfect homes for when you have to re-home, I sure would love to hear your advice!!!

Just wanted to update this thread- my guinea pigs found new rockin' homes last month! Craigslist actually worked! Huzzah!
