Prices differ between vets. Make sure you get a vet that knows how to nueter a guinea pig. I got both of my boys nuetered for 60$ but I got a discount. Ive hear anywhere from 30$-150$. |

There are less risks involved in neutering a male, because it is more common. |

It depends. You should look for an EXOTIC animal specialist or someone who is experiences with cavies, it's a must. www.aemv.org Is a great site to search for vets. You don't want to get the girl spayed, it is much more riskier and most vets won't even do the spaying, so neuter the boar. A good size cage for them would be a 2x4 (30x60, correct me if I'm wrong) and you want to put them up on a table. A 2x5 would be even better, the more space the better. You could make a stand made out of cubes, and even make an upper level from the store bought cage! Look in the photo galleries for ideas. My vet charges only $65 to neuter, but it varies. Neutering costs from $35-$200 for guinea pigs. If you get the boar fixed, keep them seperated for 3 weeks to allow remaining sperm to die. If you don't get any of them fixed, think about getting a same sex partner for each one, both pairs in a 2x4 or more. I think that it would pay just to get him neutered in the long run, but it's your choice. If you give me your email(either on this thread, or pm me) I can email you a long list of safe veggies, veggies high in vitamin C, ect. That will give you info. My email is mandichan2004@yahoo.com if you'd just rather email me asking for it, but it'd be easier to have me email you first. Good Luck! |

right now they are in seperate cages but i may put her cage beside his just to let them socialize and then when he gets neutered i will put them into a cage together |

it could mean a lot of things, for my pigs, its either that they want attention or gotta pee. sometimes they are just grumpy though. |

oh ok i see so it isn't something i did to her then cause i have been paying attention to her giving her floor time and also giveing her space to do what she wants and today for the first time she gave me a nibble on my hand didn't hurt or anything i just figured i did something wrong and she was mad |

My youngest is going through a nibbling phase too, she seems to do it when she's being a bit moody, which happens alot with her , but as has been said, it can mean alot of things, she's trying to get your attention, but has no way of telling you which part your supposed to be paying attention to |
