Anybody know of any or have any wild bird seed recipes? I already have one for suet, and hummingbird nectar, but I need one for bird seed. |

It depends on where you are, and what kind of birds you want to attract. |

Western NC. I'm still not totally sure what all kinds of birds we have but I know cardnials, and some kind of sparrow (and where we used to live wood peckers, not sure about here). Where we used to live (we lived really close to where we live now, so probably mostly the same kinds), they wouldn't touch the suet, even though we had (have) some birds that eat it, but I'm thinking it's because it was store bought suet. I think I'm going to be adding equal parts of Black striped sunflower seed (in shell still), Nyjer seed, Cracked corn (still not sure if this is okay for birds?), Safflower seed, Red millet, and White Proso Millet, and a bird feeder platform with peanuts still in shell. |

Oh yes. I'm also wondering whether peanuts are okay to feed, too. |
