Today my dog got hit my a car  . He was just trying to get hit favorite toy which rolled into the street. When a car came and hit him. The vet said he has a broken leg and jaw. Everyone in my house is depressed my 11 year old stayed up all night crying. Now, the vet said that he can't walk or move his mouth . I have no idea how he's going to eat.       |

I am very sorry.  That's so sad. I hope your dog and family and you get better. Is he staying at the hopstial? You can always syringe feed your poor doggy. |

Oh, that poor thing. I'm soo sorry this happened. We had a dog get hit by a car when I was younger. I still remember it very clearly. We were getting on the bus and our dog came running out right as the bus was pulling out to leave our house. She had all four legs broken by the bus tires and since she was pregnant with puppies at that time we decided it would be better to end her and her puppies suffering rather than make her deliver pups that way. I know we probably could have done a c-section but the vet told us that the stress from the accident would probably kill the pups before they were mature enough to be delivered safely. It was tough on everyone in our family to see that happen. I hope everything goes well for your doggy. Will keep you and the doggy in my prayers tonight. |

My aunt's dog had the same happen, but instead he was in the middle of a head on collision beetween two cars, the vet had to put a plate on the jaw (not something he had actually done before as he had never had this type of accident and nothing else would have worked) and he had his leg pinned and a few months on he is doing fine, his jaw is a bit wonky but that cant be fixed and with a better diet (ie. not kibble) he can eat fine and his leg is back to normal. Hope it works out for you and your family. |

10 minutes ago his vet called and said he was fine to come home!! Now he's on my lap YAAAAAAAY!!! |
