Just include the name of the brand, and whether it's dry kibble, or canned, pouched, raw, freeze dried, home cooked, etc. If you don't mind, I'll check up on what you list and see if it would pass muster from The Whole Dog Journal's criteria standards. I'm actually sorta not trying to help you necessarily, but rather your dog and/or cat. I feed my 8 year old ragdoll cat Charlie: dry kibble style, Wellness brand, CORE grain-free Fish&Fowl, all life stages, cat food. I feed my 1 year 3 month (15months) old Shih tzu Lexie: dry kibble style, Nature's Variety brand, Instinct grain-free Chicken, all life stages, dog food. I'll just go ahead and add that both Lexie & Charlie love their current food. Lexie is especially picky about dry kibble style, so we've found a real jewel in this one. Charlie really likes his brand too, and he's been eating it for longer than other natural, healthy brands w/o suddenly losing interest in it. I believe Lexie's absolute favorite so far has been the Nature's Variety brand, chicken, raw style, medallion shape, all life stages dog+cat food. I think its a big misconception that raw feeding is always dangerous, and I think people are VERY paranoid. Unless you have a comprised immune system, or you have young children in your home, (or a very very young puppy or kitten who's barely stopped nursing), then the chances of anything bad happening when feeding a raw diet is low. Really, really loooooww. Of course, if you don't practice safety + sanitation, then something bad probably will happen. You have to disinfect all the countertops that you used to prepare it on w/ Lysol, Clorox, 1:30 bleach:water solution, EVERY time after you're done, then you have to wash & rinse your dog's food bowl with HOT SOAPY water after every use. You can do the water bowl just 1x a day, after your dog has had it's last drink. Once a week, you must put both dishes in the dishwasher, or use something like Clorox brand hard surface daily sanitizing spray(same as 1:30 bleach:water solution) on them, then rinse and dry thouroughly. You'll be using silverware (yes, your silverware that you put in your mouth) for preperation, and that goes straight into the dishwasher after you wash it w/ hot(not warm, I mean hot), soapy water(antibacterial soap). Also, you must wash your hands in hot(as you can take it, believe me, a little uncomfort under the sink is probably better than being in a hospital, xD), soapy water. Antibacterial soap. Its alot more work than simply feeding dry kibble, but its worth it. It saves money, because every dog+cat in your house can eat the same thing. Its AAFCO approved for both cats and dogs. Good luck, please try it, its really not as gross as you would imagine. I mean, you don't have to like, sniff it in the morning when its freshly thawed(I did.....o_0), and you don't have to touch it with your bare hands. You can medical/food service gloves. Analogies: Oxbow:KM's Hayloft as Wellness:Nature's Variety Kaytee:Nutriphase as Iams:Purina getting the picture?: GOOD brands: cavies: oxbow, KM's BAD brands:cavies: kaytee, nutriphase, zupreem GOOD brands:dog/cat: Wellness, Nature's Vareity, Merrick, Solid Gold, Natural Balance, etc. BAD brands:dog/cat Hope to hear from you soon!! =)

Re: POLL: Which dog food do you feed your dog? Which cat food do you feed your cat? I feed both my dogs Go! Natural food (it comes in two flavours I believe, I feed either). The dogs are a mid sized nearly ten year old mutt and an eight year old five pound pomeranian. I know it's a quality food and recommended.

Re: POLL: Which dog food do you feed your dog? Which cat food do you feed your cat? Wow! When I went to their website and read over the ingredient list, I know that WDJ wouldn't think twice about approving that brand, it looks terrific. Keep it up! I'm glad to know that someone else believes in going a little farther, or paying a little more, to possibly help their pets live a lot longer life. *high 5 w/paws* Awww, my Lexie and your Pom could be buddies! Go toy breeds!!

Re: POLL: Which dog food do you feed your dog? Which cat food do you feed your cat? McDuff (1yr 3 month old Westie) is currently on Chicken Soup for The Dog Lover's Soul (adult dog) - a dry holisitic kibble. We're in the process of switching him to Holisitic Blend Lamb & Rice (holisitic kibble) because I don't like that Chicken Soup is not humane grade ingredients, or so I hear and he's getting a bit picky with it. He's a dog who likes variety and he's a tad underweight, so after talking to our nutritionalist we think this will be better for him. A book I am looking into is Holisitic Guide for a Healthy Dog by Wendy Volhard. It explains a lot about holisitic foods and raw diets, nutritonal needs, allergies etc.
