you can get regular cat caller at a dollar store. For about 5 dollars you can get a cat name tag at a local petstore or where the callers are located at in a pet store or department stores they have pet tags where you can just write in it and its protected in a plastic cover.

My mom confronted them today. I was pretty proud of her, she didnt completly freak out and start screaming at them. My brother and I went with her.

We have the entire conversation on tape. They admitted they traped our cat and other people's cats because she was getting on their cars and denting them. She wasent a heavy cat. only 10 pounds. How could she dent a car? They said she was going to the bathroom in their bushes too. We have given other neghbors with this problem stuff that stopped this, they just didnt even tell us.

Acording to the law, animals are property and he stole our property. So my mom is thinking about sueing him. She looked it up on the internet and it could be considered cruely to animals also.

If a cat is denting their car then they should confront the owner & tell them with proof. What they did was inappropriate. Most cats don't weigh enough to dent a car. Our neighbour's cats run around our street & I don't mind at all. Cats are pretty clean so we don't mind them going to the bathroom in our bushes. It under a bush & usually buried, so it's not like anyone is going to step in it. And they've never left any dents in cars.

I would be absolutely furious if something like that happened to me. I think your family should take some form of legal action (& possibly the other cat owners too.)

I'm so sorry to hear about both of your guys' cats. I know it can be hard when you have cats that don't stay in all of the time. My cat went missing 6 years ago, and never came back. I always pray that maybe she is being taken care of by someone else. I will pray for your kitty. At least you know that she went to a shelter, and if she can't be back with you, then maybe she at least is with some loving person who wanted to adopt her from the shelter.
About the breakaway collats, they are pretty nice. We had one other cat when Kacy went missing, and so we got Leo a breakaway collar for his tags. He roamed outside all of the time, and one day he came home and the collar was gone. So we got another one, and soon that was gone too, so, for the past 6 years, we've been getting him to stay in more and more. He doesn't leave the house in the winter (winters in ohio are pretty cold), but once spring comes, he's climbing up the walls. With cats, you either have to keep them inside, or get them microchipped...which is sad because cats jut love to be outside...
Hopefully your neighbor is wracked with guilt, and will never treat an animal poorly like that again. Please let me know what you find out from the investigator!

They are definatly not wracked with guilt! They say that they wont stop! My mom filed a complaint with the sheriffs station and she is probably going to sue them.

They only good thing about this is I know she didnt run away and get hit by a car or something. I hope she is in a great home somewhere.

Im saving m money so I can get our remaining two cats microchiped before we move.

Sarabi was only a year old and she weighed at most 12 pounds. I just dont get how a cat could dent their cars. They jump all over ours and the only thing they do to them is leave pawprints on them. They didnt even tell us our cats were causing problems with them.

My mom is going to post fliers at the mailboxes and bring it up at the next Home Owners association meeting. I kno of a few other cats that have dissapeared over the years, I dont know if they did it though. We just want everyone else to be aware of what happened to our cat so nothing happens to anyone else.

Any other ideas on how to tell the neighborhood what happened?

By the way, Sarabi is in one of my picture with my pigs. She loved to lay inside the petstore cages. I miss that about her.

You're doing the best you can. I don't think there's anything else you can do to alert the neighbours. I can't believe they said they'd do it again though. Personally, I think they're psycho.

Thats my opinoin. They were here before we were and we have been here for 12 years. They have hated us since I can remeber.

I've tried those collars..but my 2 cats..Ralph and Lucy play so hard they are getting pulled off. But they dont go outside..unless by accident..which rarely happens..Ralph has his own leash. I hope you find out about your kitty. But like you said..atleast you know it didnt get hit by a car or something.

Aw, she's such a beautiful cat. I agree, your neighbors are psycho. A twelve pound cat could not dent a car. My seventy-pound lab has sat on a car(she got a little excited...) and it didn't dent the car, thoush she did scratch the paint a bit. How many times have you seen people that have to be over one hundred pounds sitting or leaning on a car? No dents there. I'm sorry, but your neighbors have got to be full of bull!(Hey, it rhymed!)

Oh! I read throught the whole thing and I have never heard something like that! Your cat could not of dented the car, they were just making that up, your cat's just (it looks like) a little bit larger than your guinea pig! I hope you do well, and all the shelters you all talk about are kill-shelters. Aren't those pounds? The only place for animals here in Healdsburg is a no-kill, that's sad...

Thanks Sagwa. Sarabi was actually quite a bit bigger than Sam, just not big enough to dent a car.

The law says that is the animal you turn in to a shelter has an owner, you have to tell the shelter who they are and you have to tell the owner so they can at least get their animal back.

Oh yeah, If an 80 lb person can't dent a car a 12 pound cat can't! And I've even jumped! Lol!!
