 Half my co-workers just lost their jobs Just had a bombshell dropped on us this morning. They are majorly cutting back on everything at the kitchen. We just lost our two managers who had put in 29 and 25 years at the hospital. Our dietians who had 32, 8 and 4 years have also just lost their jobs. They are completely cutting back and using the food service company that works the food fill in those spaces, which will be like 3 employees all together, with one full time and part time dietian. We so just got screwed, I'm already looking to get out of dodge before it swings my way. This has to be one of the worst days on my job since the NIU shootings. |

| Re: Half my co-workers just lost their jobs I already have an interview set up next week and I'm looking into another one tomorrow and put out my resume for another job. I'm not going to wait for the other shoe to drop. The writing is on the wall, I need to make haste and leave while I can. |

| Re: Half my co-workers just lost their jobs My hubby works at Home Depot and they are doing the same thing. The HR manager had to cut all of the night (stock) crew full time into some part time jobs and a month later the HR lost his job too. This wasn't in just this store either it was company wide. It is scary, what is happening in our country right now. Hold on to your hats (and money). |

| Re: Half my co-workers just lost their jobs I think by this time almost everyone has been touched by the problems with the economy. My husband was laid off 2 years ago and was out of work for almost 6 months. With a house and 2 kids, things got a little crazy around here. He was at Columbia University in NYC. We used to think he was safe since he was the only one doing his job. We sure were wrong. We are very careful now not to take anything for granted. Keep a positive attitude, Ryan.
