What happens in Vegas...
Is that I got ENGAGED!!!

I was hoping it was going to happen, but the weekend was SO busy, I didn't think it would. Mom, Dad, Matt, Burke (my fiance), my grandmother, and I went to LV for my uncle's wedding this past weekend. After a big dinner with all of the family from both sides on Saturday evening and the wedding and reception through Sunday afternoon, I was really wiped out and wanted a nap. And oh, by the way, I CAUGHT THE BOUQUET!!

We went back to the hotel, started talking about the wedding and whatnot while we were laying there, and all of a sudden, he was down on his knees by the side of the bed and said, "This isn't how I originally wanted to do this, but I can't contain myself any longer. Will you marry me?" Between laughing, crying, and kissing him, I somehow squeaked out the word yes. He wants to save up a bit more to get me the "perfect" ring, but that doesn't matter to me as much as being totally madly in love and finally engaged to my soulmate.

Believe in the "bouquet mojo" ladies. It really does work. There was about an hour and a half between catching it and the proposal.

Incidently, Burke caught the garter at his friend's wedding a couple of weeks ago.
