| I'm going to try and get published With everything going on in my life and while I'm getting a handle on my financial situation. I've decided that enough is enough. I'm going to try and get something written by me published in some medium or another. Magazine or comic or newspaper. I've done online newsletters for my local theatre but I'm part of the board and it's all volunteer. So, I'm working some stories right now and while I'm writing my annual play for the children's theatre at the moment. I'm going to try and get something published in the next year. |

| Re: I'm going to try and get published All I can say is good luck, and be prepared for a long haul. It took me six years to get an agent even interested in my stuff -- novels, that is. Getting a literary agent is the easiest way to get published -- easy being the operative word here. Most other people I know have taken 10+ years. It's a long, lonely road, and when it comes down to it it requires talent, but also luck. I don't doubt that you have talent -- just be aware that sometimes submitting the right piece to the right agent/publisher at the right time can take a long time in coming. So again, all the very best. You'll have to keep us updated! |
