I wanted to start my look at my rebuilding process. First I'm going to start with debt. Since that's what's usually one of the biggest things before or after a relationship. I was looking at the Sears bill from Ericia's last uses for her car repair and eye appointment/glasses/contacts. All together it's almost a solid $1,000. Now, a lot of this might not be such a big deal with Ericia wouldn't have gotten store credit on the majority of the wedding stuff she returned because it was over 60 days. If I take away my car payments and student loan payments. I'm about $7,000 on my other credit card. Which, puts me around nine grand all together. My plan originally was that I would get a part time job once the play was over in early May and just have it go strictly to the credit cards. Maybe sometimes something for me for groceries or gas. However, now that I'm back in the kitchen at Kish. My schedule is all over the place and I can't really work a second job on the side. Add in that I really need to get this apartment of mine repainted and fix up a few things. Which, will put around an extra $400 dollars to spend. I already made some cuts in things, groceries of course since I'll be eating for free. Took some comics off of my pull list. Watching where I'm driving, to save on gas. I'll probably be living in the dark as much as possible to reduce on energy bills a bit. I'm also going to be going through with my mother and cleaning out our basement in the next month. Sell, some stuff for a garage sale or on Ebay. I'm still taking my weekend trip with my brother in June, which we almost have paid for. Though that's only a simple hundred bucks and we're staying at my uncle and aunt's house to save on gas and lodging expenses. It's going to be a long process in the financial part of my life for a while

Re: Rebuilding part 1: debt Um ... she *is* going to be taking on some of the debt, too, right? And she did give you some of the store credit, right? If not, then she really is a !@#$ (sorry, but it's true) and perhaps you ought to look into a small claims court settlement. There's no reason in the world why you should have to take on all the debt by yourself.

Re: Rebuilding part 1: debt I agree with Susan. I was also reading your post and thinking, she must be taking on some of the debt I hope.

Re: Rebuilding part 1: debt I would highly recommend checking online to look into credit cards that offer 1 year of no interest and no roll over charges. We did that with the credit card we owe on and we pay extra monthly plus we pay no interest right now. We've done that before and it really does help.

Re: Rebuilding part 1: debt I want to apply for a new credit card that offers cash advances at 0% and stick the money in the bank so I can get interest on THEIR money.
