What a Twit! Last week, whilst poop-scooping the girls' cage, one of their waterbottles fell onto the ground (nothing whatsoever to do with me trying to manoever around in there I'm sure.) It opened up and splashed EVERYWHERE! Being the conciencious piggy-owner I am, I keep my digital camera right beside the cage - we slaves understand the need for it to be on hand at all times - don't we?! Although my son came running to my aid, and dried off the camera, it is kapooot! Luckily, I got it insured, so will be sending it off on Monday for repairing/replacement. Just imagine all the gorgeous guinea poses my girls are going to strike - until I get it back again!

Re: What a Twit! It may be too late, but in many cases you can save wet electronics by removing the batteries, then, believe it or not, dousing it in rubbing alcohol, then letting it dry completely. Here's a link that may be helpful: Save your wet cell phone

Re: What a Twit! Yup, my boyfriend dropped his cell phone in water 3 separate times before it finally quite working. We just leave it turned off with the battery out for at least a day. I accidentally left my son's DS in the door pocket of the truck and the window down when it rained. Same thing, just let it dry for a few days and it works. I have also washed my jump drive and had to tape the casing back together, but it also works fine. And my son tends to leave his DS games in his pocket, so they occasionally get washed too.

Re: What a Twit! Yeh, I 'accidently' washed my brother phone (wouldnt have nothing to do with the fact he "forgot" to clean out the pigs when I was away! =p) anyways I put it in the dryer, worked fine hehehe!

BTW hope you can save all your pigtures! hehe maybe this will teach you to share the piggie pics on the forum the second you get them so if that happens again you already have them on the forum so it dosent matter if they got lost =P! |

Re: What a Twit! Thanks everyone! ![]() Had a hard day back at work today - so didn't actually get around to sending off the camera. I tried it again (had taken the batteries and memory card out ready for posting) - and guess what - it IS working again! Fabulous! I am thrilled, and have taken a few girly piggy-pics, which will down/up/roundabout/load in the very near future and get them on here soon! Thankyou all so much again, this is brilliant news!
