I haven't been in here in a couple months now. I just wanted to give a small update and be on my way.
August 31st I was in a pretty bad car accident. I was on my way to a pet sitting job, on a highway, when I couldn't stop to avoid a car who had stopped in the road and hit her. The front end of my car was smashed, and I had an assortment of bruises and a fractured ankle. I had surgery on the ankle about a month ago, and I have been casted since. I'm off work because of it and on short term disability.
I had been on the outs with my boyfriend prior to this and wanted to move out, but that was put on hold due to my injury making things complicated there as well. I couldn't care for my boys, and he was no help in that area, so I was forced to give them up. I met with a woman who was a part (I believe) of the rescue group I got them from. She came and had to disassemble their home since I couldn't do anything, and I said goodbye to them. Its been hard. I feel like a pretty bad mother, but I know they can find a good home now, and hopefully a permanent one.
As a result I'm not sure how often, or if ever, I'll be back on here to chat. I don't have internet access, I'm actually using my landladies computer today. So I hope everyone is well and take care!   |
