What to do for my birthday

So, my birthday is August 27. Yes, I accept gifts, cards, singing telegrams, etc, and if you need an address, send me a PM or email, and I'll happily give it to you.

The real purpose of this though is to try and figure out what to do for my birthday. It's on a Sunday, and I'm off that day and the 2 days following. My mother has been bugging me for what I want to do. Do any of you lovely folk have any brilliant ideas?

Depends on what you feel like, mega kick butt super party or nice dinner with friends and family?

EDIT: Just using these as examples to get the idea of what mood you're in.

Any and all suggestions are good. Maybe I'll leave the pigs with my parents and hit VJ up in New Orleans. Of course that's a couple days before the anniversary of Katrina, so that could be interesting too.

Well you could have a house party BBQ, don't know what the weather's like where you are but its beautiful here at the moment. Invite all your friends, family etc over. If you're vegi then theres still some great stuff to BBQ like vegi kebabs my dad makes with onion peppers aubergine, courgette, gherkin and you can stuff peppers as well, roast spuds etc etc. You could get a sand pit for the kids and make it a beach party as well. The world is your mollusc.

Happy early birthday to you! If you are looking for something close by some friends of mine just went away a few weeks ago to Wintergreen resort. I've only been there in the winter, but they had a blast. They went hiking and got pedicures as well as a massage. I wish I could have gone, but I had to work.

Even though it's not far away, the temperature is so much cooler there than here in Richmond. Hope you have fun whatever you decide!

One of the best birthdays I had, I threw a 'REAL' party - jelly ice-cream, pass the parcel, blindfold trifle-feeding, floury balloons and lots and lots of 'kiddies' party games! A real good inner-child pleaser!

I'm probaby going to kick back the whole day and play computer games, have the hubby take care of the piggies and cook me dinner. Mmm. Sounds nice.
