Ugh heat

Anyone else getting some major heat today? It is supposed to be about 93 degrees here today. Don't get me wrong I am glad it is going to be nice and sunny but I wish it was about 15 degrees cooler. We are going to the Tigers game and I hate sweating. Piggiemom how is the weather looking north of here? You guys toasty also?

BG-It's been so hot here. When I got up this morning, it was already 81 degrees (84 with the heat index). I hate this hot, humid weather. I was out in it yesterday washing the van and getting the backyard ready for today. I had to come in a few different times to prevent myself from getting heat stroke. It didn't bother the kids because I put the spinklers on for them.

Ugh. Yesterday at the zoo it was in the mid 90's. Today was a little cooler, mid 80's. Still extremely hot when you're min-golfing.

I can't wait for autumn again. It's getting hot and muggy in Richmond too.

Too bad we couldn't have 6 months of spring and 6 months of fall. I'd like a few days in July to be hot just to go swim and then it should snow on Christmas eve but melt by December 26th. That's my dream world.

I'm not trying to be a brat here, but in southern California it's a beautiful 73ish. Bright and sunny, nice little breeze... Ok maybe I am trying to be a brat.

BRAT!!!! It's 6:50pm and it's still 90 degrees here in the midwest. Ugh! And it's not even June yet.

It topped out at about 95 degrees here. The heat index was well over 100. So what did I do? Go to the Tigers game against the Yankees. Not only did I indulge in far too many beverages but then we thought it was a good idea to go over to Canada and get some piercings. I know I was not of sound mind when they put that needle in my tongue. I know I am not going to talk properly for at least a week. Maybe then I can decide if I like it. At least I have plenty of pics from the fun day. I will have to post some later when I am at home. Not of my tongue of course, but from the game. At least I looked super cute.

It's been so hot this week. I don't even want to consider what July-August is going to be like. I think it reached 95 one day and today it was at least 90. I waited till nearly dark to get stuff done outside today because I came close to getting heat stroke yesterday afternoon. Someone didn't fill the 4 wheeler and it ran out of gas on me while I was about a mile from the house checking fences. Really hot walk to get the gas can and back again. I'm also getting really worried about Midnight my black horse. He seems to have a health issue that he can't handle the heat but we haven't yet figured out what exactly is wrong. Last year he ended up with such serious digestive and hoof problems that we still haven't gotten his hooves back to the point he can walk normal. All the others didn't seem to care about the heat but yesterday he was dripping sweat. I'm starting to wonder if there's a way to setup an air conditioned horse stall.

It was supposed to get in the 90s up here in New England yesterday, but it decided to rain a bit and cool down to the 80s. Although, Sunday I got my first sunburn of the season!

The last of the snow melted just last month. I wish it were warmer, on cloudy days I can see my breath.

Owww, I have sunburn from mini-golf. Today, the UV index was 9! It was around 85-90 degrees, and I had practice in a hot gym when the air conditioning was broken. Now that's torture. We had to end early because it was so brutally hot.

We went out over the weekend and each time I said, "We have to plan our outings as it is too stinking hot. This part of GA didn't have a winter at all. I have had that sun visor thing up in my car for a month now. My car is a 96 Camry with 210,000 miles. It runs like a charm but I try to do nice things to keep it happy. Last year I had the windows tinted and started using that visor thing when it is parked. I need it to last at least another year maybe two!
I run from the sun now. I spent my life at the beach as a child with 2nd. degree burns. We all would see how big a sheet of skin we could peel off one another! Yeah sick kids. Burn, peel, blister, and so on.

My air quit working during the winter I think. I managed to pry a few of the windows open and have fans blowing throughout the house. A few days ago *someone* managed to leave the oven on 400 degrees, and the back of the house shot up to 95.

My poor pug is having a hard time with it. When he gets really hot, I'll fill up the tub with cold water and just let him hang out in there. Right now it's only 86, so he's fine, but I try to keep a close eye on him.

I am trapped in a town house with no air and very little windows. My pigs stole all our fans. And all our ice. I'll glad it cooled down though, it was so hot all weekend. Blah. This is not going to be a fun summer.

PiggieMom, you can always come down to Detroit and sit here in the central air. Just bring those cute pigs of yours so we can take pictures and make Jenn jealous.

That would be fun. If only gas wasn't so expensive and I wasn't pulling my hair out trying to finish up planning this wedding. (17 days to go... Ack.)

Maybe in July when it get really hot.
