Wow Jarb! Charlie had a grand time with you!

I am going to make a concerted effort to get the rest of Charlie's pics up tonight.

Here he is dressed as Peter Pan, on Halloween night!

OK, after a tricky beginning with the girls, Charlie decided to give it one last try. Having toured the local area, he was beginning to feel at home, and had one last trick up his sleeve...

Ahhhhh! A piggy kilt! I'd ask what a guinea pig wears under his kilt, but I'd be afraid you'd show us.

After all that dancing, it's time for tea, Scottish style

(vegetarian) Haggis, neeps and tatties!

Now, for his big moment...Has all Charlie's hard work over the past couple of weeks - sussing out the lie of the land, the local customs, the food and even the dance moves - paid off? Will these Scottish piggies give him the cold shoulder once again?

Charlie sneaks in, at feeding time. A good ploy when it comes to introductions!

Mellow and Emm seem more interested in their romaine than in Charlie!

Yup - a definite OK from the new girlies - they're happy to share their grass!

Things are looking good, he creeps a little closer!

Charlie and Mary seem to have formed a special bond!!



She wouldn't share her hay with anyone less!!!

Awwww! I do love a happy ending!

All too soon, Charlie's adventures with us are over. We've had such a great time looking after the wee guy - the girls (especially Mary!) are going to miss him too!

Time to parcel him up (with a wee something in his sporran to keep him going), and post him over the Ocean to Canada, one more step on his International Adventure!

I went to go pick up Charlie from the post office yesterday. I didn;t bring my camera, just my cell phone, so that's why these pictures are fuzzy! So where was the first place Charlie went in Canada? Why Tim Hortons of course!




Then we just walked home. Charlie stopped to play in the leaves:




And watch the squirrels (it's at the base of the tree - it's really hard to take pictures of them with a cell phone!)

Hamilton has an escarpment that divides the city into an upper and lower half. The lower part is more like downtown, and up the mountain is more like suburbs. Charlie looks up at the mountain:

Oh, did I mention Charlie arrived from Scotland wearing a kilt?! He even had a supply of pellets in the pouch for his journey. I imagine had some hay too, but he probably ate it all.
