I joined but I can't figure out how to get in. I'd love to take Charlie to the CN Tower, but I'll probably be in London when he gets around, and there is absolutely NOTHING to see here (London Ontario).

I think you somehow missed the whole point. Yes, we're shipping a stuffed guinea pig around the world, but it's a fundraiser. Flip back a couple pages, and you'll notice that everyone who joins in has to make a donation to Cavy Spirit. As far as Charlie not being able to see things, of COURSE he can. Have you not read The Velveteen Rabbit or Courdoroy? Stuffed animals come to life and see things ALL the time!

Oh! I just had an idea!

How about... we make this into a book? As in, letting him travel around the world, everyone writes a bit about him in a blog especially for this purpose and in the end an editor could sew it together with photos and a complete story. Maybe we could get it printet and sell it, the benefits going to cavy spirit?
Not to be the big "oh, me me me" here, but Love and I have been talking about writing a childrens book with piggers for ages. I also have excellent connections concerning illustrations. Love is an animator, and I have a friend who does the most wonderful illustrations.

What do you think?

Sorry to everyone for not posting on this thread recently... been at a wedding, got my first assessed session teaching at this placement tomorrow. Add to that I have two assignments due. I will try and get back to organising Charlie asap.

I would like to participate, I don't see any Minnesota people doing it! Charlie needs to tour the Land of 10,000 lakes.

We have something similar going on GL, a flat cardboard cavy. Unfortunetly, people are SO SLOW sending her around, and she has been lost at least 3 times traveling internationally, and a couple of people have just disappeared from the board while they have her. I've been waiting 2 years and am starting to get a little impatient! I hope this goes better.
