Re: The International Guinea Pig Adventure

That would be great. Canada is such a big country, it would be a shame if Charlie didn't get to see a little bit more of it! It's funny that Lyndsay and I are in the same province, so on the list it looks like we are close by - but we are actually almost 1500 km apart, a 21 hour drive! I hope he can make it out west. I don't know if it would be better for him to go to BC while he's in Canada, or while he's on the west coast in the US, though.

That's pretty far away! I wonder how far it is from the west-most of BC? Hehe!

Yay! I'm finally on the list. I know it will be a while until I get Charlie so I better start my itinerary.

Re: The International Guinea Pig Adventure

Well, I am off on holiday for 10 days or so from tomorrow afternoon...I am next on Charlie's list. If he arrives tommorrow, all well and good - he can come on holiday 'Up North' with us! If not, I must apologise for the delay. I will get things moving swiftly again on my return!

Would it be possible to add me? I am under 18, but have my grandparents permission to use their address. He would be able to see Sam Houstons largest statue in the world, Downtown houston, and a few other neat things here... I joined already...

Re: The International Guinea Pig Adventure

I'm sorry about the delay everyone but things have been hectic. El'Dubb was neutered Monday and I think Ginny has ovarian cysts and to top that off with freezing rainy weather.. Wonderful week really.

I'm planning to send him off Monday if that's alright. I was hoping the weather would clear but it seems it'll be this way till March 07..ugh..I'll see what pictures I can take though.

Re: The International Guinea Pig Adventure

FS, thats about true. Most would believe that we are really close, but we almost live on opposite ends of Ontario, ok maybe not that far but you know what I mean. That would be cool if a member from BC would take him, and get pictures of the mountians.

Re: The International Guinea Pig Adventure

V. quickie, as am midst exciting new-piggy plans (!), just to say, I am home from holiday today - but Charlie hasn't arrived yet...

Am not TOO worried - he may be with a neighbour who hasn't realised we're back yet - or maybe it just takes a while for post to arrive from Finland (Brrr!)

Re: The International Guinea Pig Adventure

CHARLIE'S HERE!!! What a cutie! Thanks Laura! I'll have to pull out all the stops to find such an attractive envelope in Scotland!

Am up to my earlobes in furniture, old carpet, smelly underlay and scarey spiders - making way for the cage I am embarking upon extending - so it may not be til the weekend that Charlie gets the Official JarBax Tour! (But don't worry, he'll be more than comfortable for the 'settling in period').

Edit: Naomi, you could PM Daftscotslass or Percy's mum to be added to the list.

Re: The International Guinea Pig Adventure

Sorry I haven't updated the itinerary in a while y'all. I've been a bit under the weather and not feeling up to dealing with the computer. Tonight or tomorrow, I'll be finding a good map of Canada and the United States, so I can get the list updated properly. Keep an eye out. If you've been a forum member for more than a month and PM'd me, I have your name and location, and will get you added.

For all of the new people who may not be aware, being added to the list doesn't JUST mean you get to show Charlie a good time. Part of the deal is making a donation to Cavy Spirit's rescue, most people have been doing about $10 US, but any amount is fine. You can send it PayPal to teresa@cavyspirit.com, or send a PM to CavySpirit if you need an address for a check or money order.
