Laura, I was wondering about the postcards as well. I thought they should all end up with T but then some of the posts sounded like the next person in line kept the post card and sent along a new one. I have no idea. Personally I think T should get them all. Whoever sends the parcel to the States only has about 3 or 4 cards in it. That shouldn't add that much weight to the price of postage. Once here it is not an issue.
Can't wait to see the pictures.

I would just keep everything on this thread and then I can try and collate all the pictures onto one site if that sounds OK? I agree that we should send on the postcards so that T gets them all in the end.

Who is deciding the route for Charlie in the US? I once again am assuming the 2 in MI have decided which one Cavy Kids is to send him to first and then take it logically from there? PM will send him to me. I need to know about the Texans. Which of you is the farthest east? That is who I will send Charlie to since I am last on the eastcoast.

The order in the above list is the order he is being sent. I don't know enough US geography to say for definite that the route above planned already is the best one... but open to suggestions.

I have more plans for photos so I guess it would be best to wait until I have them all? Then you don't have to pick up all the photos from different pages of the thread. I will have all pigtures done within a couple of days anyway and I plan on sending Charlie to bromers on Wednesday or Thursday. That way I have a chance to get some pics outside the base.

Daft,
Cavies-in-kids needs to decide where he should go first. Is the postage less going to IL or less going to MI which is closer to Canada but then from MI he has to go west a tad to IL and then be shot east. (I have my atlas out right now!) Anyhow the eastcoast route would start in CT. That is the farthest point north.
CT -> PA
PA ->VA
VA -> GA
GA -> TX (you guys have to let me know who is first)
TX-> TX
TX -> TX
TX -> CO or AZ (flip a coin)
CO or AZ -> Teresa
There are a few minor alternatives but for the most part this could be a good route. Charlie could go to PA before CT as PA is closer to IL but then he would have to go up to CT. Good lord!! LOL
All I know is no matter, PM will send him to me. I need to know who in TX he is to go to from GA.

I am in College Station, that is close to houston. Just PM me when I need to give an exact address. In the middle of moving to the new apartment, finals (college), and starting my 3rd job (yes, all 3 jobs on a daily basis). My husband is in charge of my 3 boys right now.

Hey, I hope this wouldn't cause too much trouble. Do you think it'd make sense to have him sent to either Bromers or Piglet then onto Wales-Norway-Finland then back again to either Bromers or Piglet then onto Canada?

To be honest it would cost the same to send from the UK as it would from the rest of Europe to send to Canada - it's only a fraction closer. There's no reason why someone should have to send him twice.

If you desperately don't want to do the long send, he can just come back to me and I can be responsible for sending him over.

Ok since I'm the only one from IL, why don't you send him to me after TX and then I can send him up to MI and they can swing him over to CO down to AZ and then to Teresa?? Just a thought.

Ok, on second thought that doesn't sound right either. Let me get a map out and see where everything is cause I so bad at geography.

PS: I'm working on a map for the US. Can PiggyMom tell me exactly where she is in MI. And I need to know where all the people are located in TX. Thanks.

As for where I send him, postage is not going to be a lot more no matter where in the states. I think he qualifies as a "small packet" which is a flat rate to anywhere in the lower 48! Even if he does not, it still is only going to vary by pennies if at all if it is MI, or IL, or CT or VA.

Ok I looked at what daft had put out as far as where he should go and it looks like it'll work like that, the only thing is that those few in the same state need to decide who's closer to whom. For instance, when I get him I'll send it to TX but who's closer to the Northern part of TX, and so on. And that'll go for MI on who should jdomans should send it to. My guess would be to the person closer to the northern part of MI and that person can send it to the southern part of MI and that person can send it to me (in IL). Does that make sense??

How exciting! I am the last on the list before going to T. I get to look at all the postcards. I am working on getting a digital camera so I can post pictures of AZ. Daft, I loved your pictures. Can't wait for more from everyone else.

JennG, Look at my post after Daft's. I have it in order not him shooting like a zig zag all over!! He will start with you guys in IL and MI and then go east and down the coast. I will send him to Harleigh in Houston unless someone in TX is more east of her.
