Candle wax on stuffed animal I was cleaning the bedroom and noticed green candle wax on a few stuffed animals, I don't know how long its been there, but does anyone know how to get it off? I scraped off most of it and ran them under warm water with soap but there is still a green stain. Any suggestions as to a powerful stain remover or any tips? Thanks in advance

Re: Candle wax on stuffed animal You could always wash it...I've had mum wash a few of my stuffed toys in the past.

Re: Candle wax on stuffed animal The green stain might not come out without bleach.

Re: Candle wax on stuffed animal My mom makes Ukrainian eggs, so I grew up around a lot of dripping wax. There is nothing I can think of that will completely remove it from clothing or plush fur. I wish you luck, but it may even repel bleach, which unless the animal is white, you don't want to try anyway.

Re: Candle wax on stuffed animal Thats a good point CaK. Since candle coloring is made of oil, isn't it?

Re: Candle wax on stuffed animal Thanks guys, I will probably just throw some stain remover on them and wash them next time I do the laundry, and see how it turns out...I got most of it off the white one but theres a big glob on the brown one, the stuffed animals are "Twisted Whiskers" I don't know if any of you have ever heard of them, they're dogs and cats with fringy strings as fur...so I don't know how well a green stain will come off fringe ( ).
