Re: Family I'm living with my parents and my younger brother (when he's at home). My mom's brother lives about 5 minutes from us. Dad's middle brother lives across town, and his youngest brother is moving back to Richmond from Las Vegas, so he'll be about 10 minutes away. My grandmother is in a senior community 5-10 minutes from the house, and there are quite a few cousins in the Richmond area. I'm pretty much surrounded by family.

Re: Family I was seperated from my insane family by about 2000 miles. Then the hurricane messed up my peaceful life and I found myself living under the same roof as them again. It SUCKS! Soneone get me out of here!

Re: Family I live in southern California. My mom, brother, and sister-in-law live in central California. We go there for Thanksgiving every year and my mom comes down about 4 times a year. My sister and her family lives in eastern Oregon. She and I do not speak and that is totally fine by me. My husband's family all live down here in southern California.

Re: Family I recently moved out from under my mom's roof. I now live just 30 minutes from there where she, my sister, and my uncle live. I'm about the same distance from my brother (and his family) and my grandma. I've always appreciated how close my family lives together. In fact, my grandma used to live in a trailer on the same 5 acres as us. She was about 100 feet away! But, BunnyGirl, you'll have your best friend and your cousin with you so I'm sure you'll be fine! Are you moving down for college?

Re: Family I live about 4.5 hours from my parents, but they're only a phone call away. My brother built his house next to my parents on a lot he bought when he was 18, so I don't think he ever had plans on going too far. I always saw myself leaving the area, but now that I've been here for two years, I wish I could pack up and go home.

Re: Family Most of my family are in Scotland. We live about a 2 minute drive from my mum and grandmother, and a five minute walk from my aunt and uncle. We live about an hour away from the rest of the family - great aunts etc, they all stay in the Glasgow area. I also have relatives in New Zealand, though they come over here to visit regularly as their daughter stays here.

Re: Family Why would you want to move into a hurricane state and why would you want to live far away from your family. I have family all over the place. Most of them in Pa, some in Fla, NY, Cali, Ireland. I am from Pa and hoping to move away from Pittsburgh more towards the country.

Re: Family I'm currently 5-7 hours away from my family. It depends on how fast I drive, and how bad the roads are (and unfortunately, they can get pretty bad here in the winter). I moved to go to school and part of me regrets it. I miss my family. I've already spent two years on my own but during that time when I was at college I was only an hour and a half away, not roughly 6 hours. So... it kinda sucks. And due to my stupid devil job I won't be home for more then 5 days over Christmas. Ah well... at least i'll go home over the summer.
