I just realized

I just realized that I am now over 5000 posts. Wow! You would think that I have no life but I actually do have a life outside the forum and a busy one at that. I am just very dedicated to Teresa (CavySpirit), Cavy Cages and piggies and rarely miss a day of being here to oversee things unless I am out of town or really sick.

It won't be that long before I have been on the forum for a year.

I do loads of work on the laptop and I'm always needing the internet for something or other. So, I just find my self going on this forum so much in between homework! *slaps wrist* No wonder I'm so behind with my Tech coursework

How do you guys find the time and energy to post so much? I joined in 2004 and only have about 350 posts. My husband thinks I'm posting on here all the time, so I don't get it.

Perhaps that's the key; I do most of my posting in the Kitchen. But then, Ly doesn't really make any ridiculous posts, so perhaps that's not it after all. The answer continues to elude me.

I think I have way too much time on my hands. I've been here about 8 months now. Not that I have much to do right now, other than mooch around and wait for news on what happening with my life next!

I don't know how you managed 5000 brilliant posts in one year Ly, but that's one amazing achievement!

I noticed the other night that I'm over 1,000 posts. (This one makes 1056.) I have a full time job, three kids and five piggies. I just love to talk. I also have lost about 15lbs since joining and I don't seem to be going to bed as early.

I love this place and I enjoy helping others out as well as getting questions of my own answered. And just think I've only been a cavy slave since the end of July. Whew!!

PS My mother and hubby think I'm on here too much. Oh, well.

My secret really isn't a secret. I am on the forum at least once every day, sometimes twice, unless I am either really sick or out of town. I answer a lot of questions and give advice where needed. I don't make rediculous posts nor do I post just for the sake of getting my post count up like a former member used to do. The 4th of Nov. will be 11 months on the forum.

Like I said, I am very dedicated to this forum, the members and to Teresa.

Outside of the forum, I run a gaming league online and I have competent admins under me who oversee and take care of most things for me. I am disabled and don't work a regular job but I belong to a Veterans Organization called AmVets and spend a lot of time doing a vast majority of things for the AmVets. I am the Finance Officer and I run a lot of errands being the F.O., I help run bingo twice per week and my dad and I have the job (paying job) of cleaning the building twice a week after bingo. I also help the Adjutant sometimes with typing. I also help out with other fundraisers the AmVets have. I sew cavy caves when I can. On top of all that, I try to get house cleaning done (been ignoring the house the last couple of weeks) and have lap time for piggies, cage cleaning for all the animals, cooking and trying to spend a little time each week visiting my mom. My youngest son is 14 and is pretty self sufficient and he's at that age where he'd rather hang out with his friends than hang out with me.

My life probably isn't quite as busy as many of your lives are, but some days it seems there aren't enough hours in the day to do all the things I need or want to do.
