Not Ranked. Helpful AND tactful post? : 0 I am wondering if there is a place in Asheville,N.C. where I can purchase a c&c cage. If so how much do they cost. I am disabled so I live on a fixed income. I think my Trixie would enjoy one. I was wondering if you could put Pet Rats in one also. I would appreciate any information you could give me. |

I don't think any stores sell them all put together. You can get them from this site Buy a C&C cage With any of these options, plan on spending around $100 including shipping. Soooo much cheaper if you or a friend/family member can get the supplies to make your own!! Good Luck! Last edited by Ly&Pigs; 11-07-09 at 05:58 pm. Reason: Link no longer allowed on this site |

I'd imagine you could make something similar for rats, but the spaces in the grids recommended for Guinea Pig C&Cs are too big and they could escape. With some imagination though, I'm pretty sure you could come up with an alternative caging method, maybe use grids with smaller gaps or some sort of metal mesh? You want to make sure no one can get their heads or paws stuck, but also make sure that they cannot escape. |

C&C's are not sold in stores. They also do not make good rat cages. My boys were/are (only have one ratty boy left) decent sized but can get right through grid holes. |

Rebel, I volunteer with a rescue in NC and one of our foster homes is in Asheville, let me email her and see if she's got easy access to the supplies to make one. |
