Well 2 need at least a 2x4 (I believe that is large) but if you have space for bigger, that is always better, especially for boars as they can be more dominant than sows! |

I now have my piggies in a cage made out of cubes and I have an old bedspread at the bottom but I have noticed that it is wet already and they have been pretty good about using the litter pan my question is what else can I put at the bottom of the cage to keep from changing out the bedspread so much I would like to post a picture but can't figure out how |

I layer my bedding. What kind of material is the bedspread made of? You need something that wicks the moisture for the top layer, like fleece. Some materials just obsorb it and your piggy will still be sitting in wet spots. I use a layer of cardboard, then newspaper, then towels and then fleece on the top. It seems to work pretty well. The cardboard never gets wet, because I change their bedding often and have enough layers on top, but it gives a little extra padding and insullation, because my cage is on the floor. |
