Re: c and c cages in uk

Hi,

I live in the UK and I used to get all mine from B and Q. They were £10 a box! I'm not sure if they have any now. I came on here to ask a similar question to you.

I am looking for the mesh grids....the same as the c and c cubes but with mesh as i want to make a big rat cage and the normal cubes have too big gaps for rats.

If any one knows of where to get either of them now in the UK, that would be great.

Sorry to butt in on your thread Econerd.

They're not on the Wickes or B&Q websites. You actually have to go in to the stores I'm afraid! Have a look in the UK section for places that stock them online.

Re: c and c cages in uk

Hi everyone,

I went into my local Wickes today at Folkestone, Kent and they had them! They had 4 packs on the shelves. Each pack contains 4 cubes (17 grids). They are silver with black connects, with the smaller mesh holes (which are fine). The ticket on the shelf read £4.99 a pack! I was like, woooooah cheap. So I bought 2 packs. When the guy rang them up on the register he said 40-something pound please. I said like, no they say £4.99 a box on the shelf! So a senior member of staff went to the shelf, took the ticket off corrected it on the register and I got both packs for £9.98!!!

So maybe try going into your local Wickes, or even ring the Folkestone one and have them delivered from there (though I think they will have realised their price mistake and changed the ticket of the shelf now).

Brilliant Astrantia!!!

Our Focus closed a few weeks ago - it is becoming a Wickes. I have heard that this is a nation wide thing - so it is maybe worth chedking out!

Re: c and c cages in uk

Yep, think they should of been £24.99. The new boy is going to get a slap on the wrist for messing up that one, hehe. Must of been my lucky day!

And just another tip for everyone looking for cage building supplies... For correx/coroplast/cordex/polypropylene/corrugated plastic sheets. I asked my brother who is a tiler and my other brother who's a builder about where you could get them. Well my tiler brother says they use it all the time to put over tiles after completing jobs or for underlining walls. You can get it any colour (as we all know) and where they get it from is Jewson's the builders merchant! Jewson - The UK's leading supplier of building materials and industry expertise. They can order as many or as little as you want, any size or colour at a very reasonable rate. So I highly suggest checking them out!

Hi guys...not sure if anyone one is still interested in this topic, but I picked up couple of storage cubes from B&Q yesterday for £22.99 each. Each one has 24 grids and 28 connectors.
