This week has Cubes on sale for $12.99 at Target (regularly $14.99).

Just thought I'd mention it.

Re: Cubes on Sale at Target

I know! I just built my cage out of those! I got the blue grids. It is the easiest thing to build with them

Re: Cubes on Sale at Target

I was just looking through Target for grids and since when does Target have pet supplies? I've never seen it in stores and it doesn't seem like it would have that kind of things.

Re: Cubes on Sale at Target

Our Target has always had pet supplies... mostly bird food, dog beds, and some hay.

Re: Cubes on Sale at Target

I wanted to see if they were still on sale at Target so I went to target.com. I am unable to find them on their webpage. Maybe I am blind. If someone has time can they look and see if they find them.

Re: Cubes on Sale at Target

Hello, I purchased mine @ Target near my home. $14.99 a box each makes a 2x3, which I am making a 3x6, I can not wait.

Re: Cubes on Sale at Target

I bought a set of cubes today to make my first ever C&C cage (I'm so excited) I paid 14.99 for a set of 23 grids. You can find them in the home supplies section, not where they sell the furniture for closets and stuff but over by where the keep the lightbulbs and things. We got blue grids also. Once I get used to cleaning it out I plan on putting this lime green fleece in it and using this really cute Blue and lime green patterned fabric to make cozys and whatnot to decorate the cage. YAY for target!!! They also have the shelves that you can use for tops there too but I'm going to get those from Lowe's since I can have them cut to fit better.

Re: Cubes on Sale at Target

When you go to Lowe's and get your shelves cut for the lid, pick up a pack of end tips. They're little rubbery tips that you push over the snipped ends of the wires to keep you from getting scratched when you move the lid.

Re: Cubes on Sale at Target

I had those same types of shelves for a lid, but with the cat gone, I'm not dealing with the hassle. They were left over from the business I used to own, and figured they would work well. I hated them but were necessary.

The sale at Target is over. It's always funny. I go to Target for cubes and I happen upon them during the week they're on sale. Every time :-) Guess I'm just lucky.

Bad part, I still need one more pack to be able to finish the design set up I want and they're regular price.

Until I found a feed store here in Daytona last month, Target was my sole provider of all things guinea. Kaytee pellets, timothy hay and bedding. It was my excuse to go shopping. "whop! the piggies are out of aspen. Honey, i'm going to Target."

Re: Cubes on Sale at Target

I don't think they were on sale up here in SC but I could be wrong. They were 14.99 for a 23 grid pack. My brother in law is in Daytona Beach going to Embry Riddle. He's in the Navy too, officer program so he had to go to college. We all grew up in Florida (how I met my hubby was through his brother who was my best friend in high school) so it was an obvious choice. How's the weather down there?

Re: Cubes on Sale at Target

Hello all. I'm new to this....my son is wanting a guinea pig and we've been doing our research.

When you say "cubes", what are you talking about? Is this a way to kind of build your own cage?

I don't mean to be a pest, but if I can make a cage, I'd rather do that then go out and buy a big one.......

Thanks!!

Edit: Just looked on the home page....DUH

But any advice would be appreciated!!!

Re: Cubes on Sale at Target

Well if you looked at the home page, it tells you pretty much everything you need to know to build one. I suggest having a hammer and a pair of pliers ready as the connectors can be hard to connect. Also zip ties are very useful in case you run out of connectors.

Guinea pigs are social animals who live in herds in the wild. They do much better if kept in at least pairs. And since you haven't gotten your pigs yet I'll remind you to adopt! There are tons of homeless guinea pigs out there who desperately need a good home. www.petfinder.com is a good place to start. If you have any trouble, we're more than willing to help you find a pair.

Also as far as guinea pig care is concerned this thread is a collection of the best information on the web. Please read it before you get the pigs so that you know what to expect and how to care for them properly: http://www.cavycages.com/forum/showthread.php?t=17032

If you have any questions feel free to ask! Good luck and have fun!

Re: Cubes on Sale at Target

I went to Target to get the cubes and looked all over and couldn’t find them. I asked an associate and they said they didn’t carry them.

Is there someplace else I can get them?

Linens N Things should be getting them in soon. Bath and Body Works has them, too.

Is there a large difference in cost? You say they are getting them as in they are out of stock or its going to be a new item in the store?
