Cages for sale in Houston

I had to buy a lot more coroplast than we actually needed- the dealer had a minimum purchase price. So, I will build a cage for you if you wish. Price is negotiable according to size and customizations.

I bought dark blue coroplast, so that's your color option. I will use grids in your choice of grey, black, or white.

If you are in or near Houston, you can pick the cage up or I can deliver it, completely assembled. If you are elsewhere, I can ship it to you partially assembled (you pay shipping); I will include detailed instructions (with photos!) for the rest of the assembly.

Let me know if you're interested!

Great! The more the merrier!

Well, that's okay, though. As long as piggies are getting IN the cages, that's really the main objective here.

I've been doing animal rescue for a long time, (that's how I ended up with so many pets) and it makes me really sad to see critters kept in too-small cages. I am also designing a modification for lizards.

I don't know where you got yours in Houston, but I got mine at regal plastics... and they had a minimum purchase price there too. A 4x8 was 8 bucks, and the minimum purchase price was 25. She let me have the 4x8 for 8 bucks though and she said it'd be the last time she'd let me do that.

I got mine at Regal's too, and this time it was a man behind the counter, and he made us buy four sheets.

Sorry, I'm not selling any cages suitable for degus. This is just because I can't offer one for less than it would cost you at a store. The degu cage that I made had to be completely double-gridded, and it was a whole lot of work. It took forever. (You can see it in my gallery.) With all the work involved, as well as the cost of the extra grids for double-gridding, the cage would cost you about $200. No kidding. That's really how much work it was to a)do all the connections with zip ties and b)double-grid everything.

I will be selling cages for guinea pigs, chinchillas, ferrets, etc.

The reason we even built a big cage is because one of our degus needs lots of space (she's just not happy unless she can run around a lot), and we didn't want to spend the money it would cost to buy a really big "super pet" cage. Building it was economical for us.

You would be better off just buying a really big super pet cage. They are perfectly suitable for degus (although not for guinea pigs!) and would cost about as much as I would charge you for building a really big, double-gridded cage. I have used large Super Pet cages before and they are fine for degus, as long as you get a very large, multi-level cage; the more degus, the more space you need, especially since you have to add wheels, toys, chews, food dishes, chews, etc.

Good luck, and if you have any questions feel free to ask me. I am sort of a degu expert- I have been rescuing degus since 1998. I love the little guys.

I had to buy five sheets of coroplast when I ordered mine, but the five sheets came with free shipping. It was well worth it.

Hi - I don't know if you're asking reptilegrrl or me about shipping charges, but it does get quite expensive to ship large cages. Have you tried the database on this site for finding materials in your area?

Well if buying one from reptilegirl doesn't work out perhaps you could just buy the coroplast from CCcages and then get your own cubes. See here http://cavycages.com/buycc.htm

Putting the cubes together is really simple anyways.

Hi - I don't know if you're asking me or reptilegrrl. I'll reply as I live right next to you in CT. I sell the cages here:
Order page for C&C cage

http://cavycages.com/buycc.htm

If you ever drive near the area, perhaps you can pick it up so there's no shipping charges. I try and make shipping fair across the US, so I charge a flat rate. It ranges from 14-28 for UPS ground anywhere in the US depending on the size you purchase.

Sue

reptilegrrl , can you pm me with the cost to ship just the coroplast to minnesota? I'm planning on building several cages, but I already have the cubes so maybe we can work something out?
