Helpless in Hong Kong - how to buy C&C cages?

I have two lovely gps, Courage and Sputnik, both over a year old. The black one is a long-haired breed, Peruvian I suspect. The other is a spunky mongrel, a real lesson in survival, having come through pneumonia! Love them both!

First of all, I have to say HK is expensive for small pets! I spend well over a USD100 a month on my critters, cats are a fraction of the cost to maintain here. But they're my babies and I want the best for them.

As of now, they have a 2ft x 3ft cage (rabbit cage which was the biggest size available but with plastic spillcatcher raised to above the metal mesh to make a flat surface). During the day (7am to 8pm) I put out a cardboard "playpen" that my husband made to provide another 3ft x 3ft of running space at least.

Needless to say, in the tiny, cramped living conditions that HK offers, this takes up a quarter of my living room space. I have a son to think of too not to mention the CLUTTERED look!

I'm looking to make a two-level cage so I can use vertical space rather than horizontal. Anyone have any ideas if this can be done safely with C&C cages and how can I order them to HK? Any tips on how to build a safe climbing ramp to the above level?

Thanks!!

Im not sure about ordering them to HK. Maybe look around at the storage sections in some stores they may have them. To make the cage secure you have to cable tie it. These are like plastic zip ties that make the structure stonger.

Also to make the ramp all you do is bend the grid and put a layer of cardboard or carpet down on it. You then secure it to the cage with the cable ties. Heres a link on how to bend grids.

Hope this has helped a little goodluck.

You may want to ask friends or family in the US to mail you some cubes.
