I named my pig!! Her name is Penny! Someone suggested that and it fits perfect! I am no good at names! Thanks!

So I had my surgery ten days ago! The doctor said it went really well. I didn't have a lot of adenoid tissue to begin with but he got out what he could. 10th day so I am supposed to start eating normally! Yay! No more Frosty's from Wendy's and pasta noodles! Throat is still sore but is feeling a lot better! Not on pain medication anymore, so that's good!:melodrama

So there is this cat I want from the humane society. My mom and I were volunteering and I fell in love with it. I probably won't get it! :weepy: My older sister might! :cheerful: She lives about 15 minutes away by the university. The only thing is she has one year left at college so she might be moving. Depends on if she continues and goes back for a better degree in psychology. I hope she does! Technically my dad owns the condo so we are trying to convince him.:optimist:

Thanks!

I am having a tonsillectomy then. I get tonsillitis and strep throat a lot so they are taking them out. I am wayy scared. Not scared, but nervous. Everyone keeps saying, "At least you'll get a lot of ice cream!" My sisters said, "nothing sounds good so you won't be eating ice cream, only drinking. Maybe a Popsicle here and there."

I found my camera cord so now I can upload photos!!! YAY! I uploaded one already. Feel free to write comments and rate. The picture quality isn't the greartest and she is a little camera shy.

We got home yesterday from Okoboji. It was a lot of fun! We took our boat and went tubing, and skiing.

I almost died though! Seriously. Our boat didn't want to start. So my dad would have to take the throttle thing and push it all the way forward, then start the key. My dad was back looking at the motor, so he asked my uncle to do it, but my uncle didn't know to bring the throttle back, so we took off going sooo fast!! The engine almost exploded! Even my dad knew it was going to! We still had the tube blown up and my sister had put it in the water to jump on! :cheerful:

So we had to take it to the marina place, and wow...what a bunch of money wanting liars! So the guy who works on carborators and motors had the day off or something.(This was still Tuesday) They told us noon by Wednesday. Then it became 2:30. We drive over to the Marina to get it, it hasn't moved! My dad goes talk to the "stupidest" one of them all is how my dad puts it. He tries to tell us someone is working on it right now. We know for a fact he is lying and no one has even TOUCHED the motor! The say ok, we'll have it done it about an hour or so! We all are happy. They have a barefoot bar (I think it is a chain so some of you may have been to it.) So we sit there all DAY! My dad goes back and asks how much time do you think is left? The guy goes, "At 5:00. I'll have it in the water and might need to do a few MINOR adjustments." My dad comes back and we are starting to get excited. At like 5:15, we are starting to think : okk...come on, put her in the water!" My dad goes back and the doors to the stalls are all closed up. He goes inside and the big man boss is in there telling the kid working on it to leave, you gotta go. The kid hops out, and then clocks out and goes off with one of his friends. My dad kind of explodes.

Next day: We get there boat is in the water and we are thinking good thoughts. Nope. The kid was saying he has 5 other boats today, and we were going to just take it as it was. The kid would leave it in the water for us. I think at noon we are about to get a bite to eat at there bar thing and the kid is taking the boat out!!! My dad goes back and this is what the kid says,"As long as your going to grab something to eat, I wanna try one more thing. I can't let this beat me!" My dad was like have at it. Thankfully, it worked!!He put a new float in it. (I have no idea what that is, but some of you might.) So we get our boat, Thursday around 1:30. Too bad it was rainy that day.

But my pig! She found her voice! She now weeks for food and at dinner time! She was a little traumatized on the car ride there, but coming home she was ok. Sorry this is soo long! But yeah. We all had a lot of fun.

We are going to this HUGE lake about 4 hours away this coming Saturday, stay for a week until the next Monday. I am taking my pig, yay! My aunt, who loves animals, and has had like 3 guinea pigs when she was a girl, knows my first one died. My mom and her (they are sisters) talk/email a LOT. We are surprising my aunt, so it will be fun. She is from Minnesota so she and her family (my cousins) are meeting each other there. We are staying at a resort type thing.

I am way happy because I get to take my pig and she won't be lonely the entire time! The downside is, she will have to be in her pet store cage because there won't be enough room to take her C&C in the car.:weepy: She will also be back on bedding.:( This is my list of things I need to take.
*Pig
*Cage
*Bedding
*Hay
*Pellets
*Water Bottle
*Hidey(s)
*Cuddle Cup (the one I messed up terribly!)
*Romaine Lettuce
*Baby Carrots
*Green Pepper
*Cucumbers
We are close to a Hy-Vee/Wal-Mart so we will get more food for her.

I was wondering, should I take her in like a cat carrier and make up her cage when we get there, or just set her cage next to me in the car with everything in it like bedding, etc. Any tips for traveling would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! (It is about a 3 1/2 -4 hour drive) Thanks!:cheerful:

Ok, so I put the fleece in on Saturday...maybe Sunday?? I love it! It makes her cage look so nice!
Tomorrow I am going to a Wedding. so I can't do it tomorrow. It is my sister's 2 best friends...getting marrid to each other. We have to leave early around noon because it is an hour away. Oh well, it should be a lot of fun! :D

So when I take her fleece out of the cage, I shake it and what not to get stray hairs and hay off. Then I throw it in the washer, no softener, just detergent right? Can I hag it out on the line to dry? Thanks!

It wicked water through when I dumped a little on it so that is a great sign!

She is FINALLY in her C&C cage, despite my mom's efforts to keep her in the pet store cage! She loves animals, but doesn't think they need a "mansion". That's what she refers to the cage as...it is only a 2x3. I showed her some of your guy's amazing cages...she thought you were all crazy!

My pig (who I have had for 1 week now and still doesn't have a name ) loves it! I walked in my room and saw her just laying on it. :silly: I'm so glad it doesn't stink...yet. I've only had it 45 minutes, but still...I love it!

Tomorrow is going to be a big, long, boring day. I have a volleyball camp at the local university from 9AM-5PM I love volleyball, but I just don't really want to play right now. At least 3 of the girls on my club team are going!

Well thanks, I will keep posted on how the fleece is working! :D

My new pig has had some messed up eyes lately. They seem to be coming back to normal.:relieved: If they aren't better by tomorrow, my mom is calling the vet.

On a happier note, she will be getting fleece tomorrow!! I am so excited. The fleece will need to be washed once more and then dried, so maybe and hour tomorrow after tennis lessons.

I am doing a few layers of cotton towels and then 1 layer of fleece. I am way excited!

I didn't even have to pay for it. My sister must have gotten a lot of fleece...like 3 HUGE long pieces of it so I am using all of those!

She will also be put into her 2x3 C&C cage. She has been in a pet store cage...only for like 4 days. Her C&C needed some fixings.

I can't wait. I don't want to go to tennis tomorrow. I want her OUT of that stupid pet store cage!

Talk to everyone tomorrow!

This school year has been very tough for everyone at my school.

In November, our class president was diagnosed with Burkitts Lymphoma, a cancer that runs in the blood stream. He had a bone marrow transplant.

Our school held many fundraisers for him. We also ordered livestrong bracelets with Team *____* (his name) 2009. They were very cool and a huge hit.

Unfortunatley, Monday or Tuesday he was given two weeks to live. On Friday, he passed away. :weepy:

We had a ceremony at the school with his body and let ballons fly. It was very sad!

We are coming up with ideas for memorials for him. We might take a wall that everyone sees and put a plaque of his picture and some inscriptions but then on the wall everyone signs it and writes comments.

He was a great kid and will always be remembered! R.I.P <33
