I made a delicious watermelon salad tonight. The only thing I would change is to half the amount of mint and parsley. I made the first recipie. I've never had the second one, but I want to try it sometime.

Tomorrow morning we are going to the CT Guinea Pig Rescue to meet one of their adoptables. I'm SO excited to see him! We aren't getting him tomorrow, just an intro between us and Rowdy to see if we like him (Of course I like him, I love all piggies) and if we think he would be a good fit with out little brat. :D

He was just neutered a week or so ago if we decide to get the little guy all we be set for us.

Bella is quite the distraction while trying to get some homework done. Zoomies are so much more fun to watch than doing school work.

I have a 5 page psyc paper due Thursday, a 4 page history paper due Thursday as well. Next Tuesday I have an exam in Adolescent Development; Wednesday I pick classes for next semester AND have my test for my commercial driver's license and Thursday I have a section of my project for my adolescent development class. Those are just assignment due dates. Add in reading 30ish page chapters for four classes for each day the class meets and I'm about ready to explode. Does the work never end?!?!?!

Between my addiction to "The Secret Life of the American Teenager", my piggle, Facebook and this site I have ZERO motivation to do my work and get distracted about every 20 minutes.

Well, back to the next 20 minutes of productivity.

Right now Bella is devouring her bithday veggie feast. So cute!
She has some romaine and raddicchio, a snow pea, a green bean, celery leaves, a 1/2 slice of orange with a piece of peel, red pepper, cilantro, parsley, broccoli floret, cucumber and a small piece of kale as a garnish (she had enough calcium on her plate already but it's her favorite so I couldn't resist).

No worries, the candle came right out and it was never lit. Just me being a goof ball!

Today my piggie turns one year old!

I don't know her actually birthday since I bought her at a pet store :weepy: but I did get her on June 8 and they said she was about three months old. I didn't want to make it March 8 becuase that is my future mother-in-laws birthday so we decided to make it the day after so we would never forget it.

And for a birthday gift (albiet a late one) she is getting a sister from the Critter Connection (CTs guinea pig rescue) when they get in a female or neutered male.

Tomorrow starts the first official day of Spring Break for school. But do I get time off? NO! :weepy: I have two papers due the week we get back. Four pages on the novel The Home and the World and a 5-7 page (which obviously means 5 :D) reaction paper to newspaper articles for health psychology. BOOO. That and I have to keep practicing for my CDL license (test date 3/25!!!) AND drive people to and from the airport and school. So much for time off.

On the plus side I am going to a Peter, Paul and Mary concert with my mom on Thursday. Good bonding time for us that is much needed.

So, it's been a really really long time since I've had a blog. Last time I had one i was in high school and I used it to rant about my parents (which came back in bit me in the butt when they found it). lol

I guess I'll use this as a chance to inroduce myself a bit more in depth than the bio allows.

My name is Michelle and I'm 21 (5 more days!!!), and am a full time college student, majoring in psychology. I plan on attending graduate school for library science and will be a public librarian (kids or adult services, not sure yet). I live off campus with my wonderful boyfriend Matt and we have one GP, Bella.

We are planning on getting a buddy once we are doing a little better financially. I test for my commercial driver's license sometime in March, so once that happens we will both be making good money driving the shuttle busses on our college campus and can then finally get our second piggie!

We are also going to be adopting a rat at the end of the semester as he is in an animal science class and they let you keep your rat at the end or donate him to science. Needless to say, he's coming home to us and not becoming a science experiment.

Hmmm, don't know what else to say, so I guess I'll end it here.
