That's great. My pigs did the opposite when they were introduced: the new one whistles (wheeks, but I see why you'd call it a whistle, it's much more shrill than a regular wheek), and the old one, who used to wake me up at 6AM every day screaming so loudly for veggies, doesn't wheek for food at all anymore. She's so much louder that I think he just lets her do the dirty work. So she wheeks and he climbs up the side of the cage. It's a pretty funny sight to see, but I wish they would both wheek every once in a while.

What is also funny, when Doby does this highly pitched wheek, his ears perk up and I can see his little tongue hahaha
Mines wait that I come in the living room before wheeking. Sometimes I even wake them up for their veggies. They know my morning routine and seem to respect it, knowing they wont have veggies right when I wake up. But when I open fridge... all hell breaks loose!
It really seem the fact I don't have a loft anymore, a bigger cage, maybe because it's more open now, helps MrWilson a lot to open up and to exercise.
