A lot of piggies!

Now with the arrival of Olives babies this brings us to 10 guinea pigs, 3 boars, 3 sows, and 4 pups and I am not 100% sure of the sex of the pups yet. I will have to keep checking until I am sure of there sex. I think one is a male and the others are females so far but that may change as they get a little older since sexing pups can be a little tricky.
Would 10 piggies be to many to keep? This is what I have to keep asking my self, any thoughts are welcome. I just don't want my babies to go to a home that they may not be treated or taken care of right.

Right now they don't have proper cage space since the babies were just born but as soon as they are old enough (21 days) to seperate that is if we do keep them they will have a propper cage size for them.
As for veggies, hay, pellets, lap time, floor time, and vet care I am already doing this for 3 dogs and 6 piggies so I don't 4 more piggies will be a significant enough increase to make it imposible. I am sure that I can provide these things for four more piggies but is 10 piggies for one household too many?Posted 10-21-09 at 11:27 am by Rnd210
