I logged on to Facebook today to find a warning that I put up pictures containing nudity that were removed. After a moment of confusion, I checked my photos and found one where I am wearing a pair of shorts that are shorter than walking shorts, but longer than Daisy Dukes had been removed. I am walking away from the camera in the picture talking to my children while sunlight shines through the trees in front of us. I thought it was a nice artistic shot of the family, definitely not some kind of porn that should be taken down before it offends the good senses of those who do not like to see other's butts. I do not understand that site at all, and I would like to know who among my friends reported it. They really need a lesson in what nudity is. Honestly, I have seen worse on Facebook, like the shot of the girl who has hair down to her butt and posed nude with just that hair covering her. That picture is still on her page, but my clothed "butt shot" is offensive. Go figure.

Well that's weird. I have a picture of me on my facebook in a bikini with my dog playing at the beach. No one has called it offensive. Shoot my mom is the one who posted the picture.

I am sure that there are much worse shots on Facebook (don't take that the wrong way, I am sure that your picture was perfectly fine) so I wonder why they would report it! As Peggysu said, a ton of people including myself have shots from pool parties with us in our bikinis, and there has been no problems with them at all!

I have left a message complaining of it because there is nothing showing. It's not like I have a buttock hanging out or anything. I am beginning to wonder if it is a glitch somehow and they removed the wrong photo from the wrong account. I have a lot of friends, due to being a gamer, but there is a total of about 40 people who can see my photo albums and they are all real life friends and family. Either way, I am still steamed because it is not like I am posting inappropriate images of myself on my account. The last thing I want is my brother or cousins to see parts of me they should not be viewing.

That's weird! Hopefully it was just a glitch. If not, would you feel comfortable posting something on your wall asking why someone reported it? That's what I would do!

I never did get a response from Facebook so I just put my photo back up. My friends and family are at a loss as to why the photo would be taken down. According to Facebook's own policies, photo showing bare buttocks, female nipples, or genitalia will be taken down. None of those are showing in any of my photos. Of course Facebook policies seem pretty vague at best. I got a nice warning my second day on the site for adding "too many friends." Too many in my case was defined as twenty-one over two days. Wow, that's really abusing a social networking site, isn't it?
