January 25th I lost my little piglet Dino. I had no idea it was going to happen, he was just a little guy but he just died for no reason I could see. He ate, was lively and chipper as ever. I was nervous however cause on Christmas day when I got him my cousin told me the shop he came from housed him with rabbits, I immediately thought, oh no. But then just thought, keep an eye on him and go from there.

Nothing seemed wrong with him at all though, so things seemed good till the Sunday...

Ok, it's confirmed.. I don't have a cold. This is the first and only time that I have ever wished I was sick.

Here is how I figured it out for sure. I read the post on here about the seed heads and how it's fine for pigs to eat them to their hearts content. Since my pigs love them I went and broke off a bunch of seed heads to feed by hand to Rolo to help with bonding to him.

I was sitting in my chair with Rolo, feeding him the timothy when I got an itch in the corner...

Sorry for the lame title, but thinking about what I should call this blog, that is the song that popped into my head. Anyways, I just wanted to give an overview of all my care techniques (most of which I've learned from this site and the people on it). Yesterday Scruffles had to go to the 'scary' (in his case) vets! He's got a UTI , and they had to give him a painful injection. The vet had to go with another vet in another room because he was struggling so much! He made very loud and scary squeaks, because that must of been terrifying for him! If he only new that would make him better..
I have to give him antibiotics every 12 hours now, and he doesn't like it at all! But it's worrying me because he didn't eat his vegetables in the morning...

A few days ago I made a pink-spotted cuddle cup for Scruffles, my male guinea pig . I've caught a photo of him laying in it, but you can't see him that well because he's black!
Also, I just made a social group for all the crafty piggy mom's, so if anyone has made anything for their piggies, they can share their creations!
