The other 3 pigs are going well. Rosie and Lily will be 4 this year, and Acorn will be 3 (as will Ella). They plod along as usual, enjoying the extra space in the new cage, sleeping and eating as guinea pigs do.
Since my last update in October, quite a few changes have taken place.
Towards the middle of November we found out that our house (renting) was going up on the market, so we had to find a new place. Cue weeks of seeing many houses. We found one in a quite little suburb opposite a dog park (the dogs love it!). It is a little on the small side and we are still renting, but it does the job for now. An update is long overdue I think! Last update was 6 months ago.
Since then - the pigs have been plodding along. No major changes with them, although early August we had a huge revamp. The cage is now 3 levels, each section is 2x5 grids. We have had some troubles with Tasha's ear - her ear is SO hairy that it gets all blocked up with wax and fungus, which irritates her so she scratches it which results in a lot of blood and pus in her ear. Poor girl, but a change of diet and medication
Only for 3 weeks ! I am leaving the crew in the wonderful hands of my mother and am heading off to the otherside of Australia (Tasmania) to see some relatives, and meet my new baby cousin. Very exciting! I fly out Thursday, 9am Perth time.
Everybody has settled in. The dogs were a bit lost for the first 24 hours, and their first night they spent barking (was awful - ended up sleeping on the lounge with them). They are good now.
The pigs are doing well. Toffee has had
